Arsenal only have five players out on loan at present but one of them, striker Billy Vigar, has already achieved two significant objectives this season.
Vigar is set to spend the season on loan at National League South side Eastbourne Borough and last weekend not only did he make his competitive senior debut against Hampton & Richmond but also scored his first senior goal.
The 19-year-old signed his first professional contract with Arsenal last year but wasn’t given many opportunities to impress and linked up with Derby County’s U21 side for the second half of the campaign.
Although he didn’t score for Derby U21s, Vigar was at least able to build up some sharpness and he took that into pre-season, where he impressed for Eastbourne Borough.
Vigar has now started the season well and if he can continue to make an impact then perhaps a loan to a club in a higher division could follow.
Goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk, meanwhile, is also in the National League South with Slough Town, so he could face Vigar at some stage this season.
Meanwhile, midfielders Mauro Bandeira and Catalin Cirjan are on loan at Colchester United and Rapid Bucharest respectively, while Mika Biereth is with Motherwell.

It’s Eastbourne Borough, with a T (used to live there, bit of a grim club).
Can he be loaned to any lower league.
Apparently if this doesn’t work out he’s going to be loaned to a year 8 PE lesson.
A Vigarous start you might say?
Still pretty sure you’ve just made this name up but I’m here for it.
I am Eastbourne based. We shall pop down to see him.
