As revealed by Arseblog News in the spring, Arsenal have teamed up with Adidas and Stella McCartney to release a bespoke away kit for the women’s team for the 2023-24 season. The Gunners begin their WSL season this Sunday at Emirates Stadium against Liverpool.
The away kit will be debuted on pitch on 6th October when Arsenal play away at Manchester United in the WSL and is the first time the team will have worn a separate kit to the men. The men’s team will wear the gender-neutral jersey as a pre-match warm up top ahead of their league game with Manchester City at Emirates Stadium in the same month.
There is a complementary travel range too, similar to the women’s team’s first collaboration with Stella McCartney in the spring of 2022, which was something of a test run for the women’s team to have their own bespoke merchandise.
The range will be limited in terms of quantity and you can have a gander at the merch here.
Better than the men’s yellow one!
I looks a bit like when you record the picture from a CRT TV on a camera and it goes all optical illusion-y.
Nice enough, though. Not sure what’s going on with the stripes above the Fly Emirates logo, though – they don’t meet up, for some reason.
Yes….kinda Moire vibe
Yes, I know what you mean. The mainly pink one is nicer.
I’m not always a fan of the Stella McCartney stuff, but this looks cool! Will check it out on Sunday
We should adopt this for the men’s team aswell, just saw the picture of Nelli and Jesus using it, so so much better than the yellow one
I like the kit but slightly worryingly if I take my glasses off and squint at the second picture, four players disappear and only Maritz and Miedema remain
Could be our secret weapon for the season, maybe Stella was looking at WW 2 camouflage docos! Having said that have got one on order 🙂
Regardless of which side of the Marmite (Vegemite!) you fall on, I thought we were meant to be promoting the “one club” vibe for all teams. Why are we then developing different kits for the various sides within the club? What next, an under-21 kit and an under-18 kit?
Have you seen how we’ve been blasting money?! We need the fund man.
The women have a separate history and identity that can be accommodated within the One Club ethos. I think it’s great to reflect that. The home kit is the same, isn’t it? And there is a design link to the Adidas men’s away kit with the wavy lines thing. (I suppose!) Plus, as Cliff Bastin said, think of the £££!
The missus and my daughters have gone bananas – they absolutely love it.
I have to say that the girls look great in this kit. It’s stylish and – for a female football kit – refreshingly feminine.
Adidas have puzzled many with the current men’s away kit – but they’ve more than compensated with this one. Well done to Arsenal. Adidas and Stella McCartney.
It’s grown on me since yesterday. I think you’re right – it looks like something a lot of women could see themselves wearing. That’s Stella McCartney’s USP.
