What would we do without Jack Wilshere? While the futures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri appear to be under an ever darkening cloud, our 19-year-old playmaker continues to beat the Arsenal drum by publicly proclaiming his love for life at the Emirates.
Speaking as part of the Arsenal ‘125 Project’ , created to share memories about the club in honour of this season’s much feted anniversary, Wilshere revealed:
“Arsenal Football Club has been like a second home for me and my family since I was nine years old.
“This is the perfect club, the perfect team-mates, the perfect fans, the perfect backroom staff and most importantly, the perfect manager for me.”
A homegrown talent, a fan favourite, a FIFA cover-boy and seemingly happy to speak his mind, Wilshere has all the ingredients to become a true Arsenal great. Let’s hope he does…

Ich liebe muschi!
Thumbs up Jack! That’s the spirit! I hope he helps the club to win something this season
Future captain, but hopefully not this season!
It’s great to hear Jack express his devotion/dedication to The Arsenal! I’m getting ready to buy a new home kit for our soon to be teenager, and, traditionally, I’ve gotten him a Number 4-Fabregas jersey each season. I think, with all of the uncertainty surrounding Cesc’s future, it might be time to make that a Number 18-Wilshire jersey!
Looking forward to the end of the transfer nonsense, and getting down to football!
Might want to make that number 19 Wilshere mate! 🙂
19 wilshire probs the better option or 18 grimandi!
Soopa, soopa Jack! Soopa, soopa Jack! Soopa, soopa Jack! Soopa Jack Wilshere!!!!
You will never here French/African Frenchie speaks that way. Arsene should just forget about these foreign mercenaries
And from your English i can tell you are English!
Arsene will deliver.
Henry is french…
Rooney is a mercenary.
A true Gooner. Good lad Jack! We’re all proud of you.
Jack showing the rest how it’s done as usual! A true arsenal legend in the making, been a while since there was one with his grit and determination to be fair, it’s like they took a mini snap shot of the adams/dixon/parlour/etc era and forged a mini jack out of it lol
minus the booze, betting, and drugs of course 😉
Yes, you will never hear any recent Frenchie work hard for the Arsenal. Nasri? A French mercenary. Diaby? An African French who loves wearing Spurs’ shirts. Clichy? We gave him chances to develop here but talks shit about Arsenal now.
Well, maybe it has nothing to do with the origin but with the fact Jack is in the club since he’s 9 years old… Don’t think Ramsey would/could share is view. Plus, those mercenary, Chelsea and United, even City are full of those lads, this never stop them to win…
If Cesc leaves for Barca, then Wenger will need to choose a new Captain. Tough decision right? Well not for me. Many will say it should be Vermaelen. Good player, good defensive leader, but not Captain for me. Nasri? Not for me, his history of disagreements with Gallas and France managers makes me question his temperament. Also he hasn’t committed himself to the club regards contract. RVP? No also, due to his lack of being consistently on the team-sheet regards injuries. Sagna? Great player, but leave him to do his job well. Chezza? I don’t like goal keeper Captains. Theo?… Read more »
Mate, just say you love the little guy, it’s enough LOL. If Vermaelen is not a captain for you…, and you balance for the role Wilshere and Ramsey (Ramsey as captain, very funny)
“What would we do without Jack Wilshere?”
I ask my self the same thing every day…
I love Jack but I think he needs 1 more year with Cesc to complete his training. A full year in the squad with Cesc’s influence would benefit Ramsey greatly as well. For this alone, we should not let our captain leave this year. AW should make a gentleman’s agreement with Cesc & those Catalan Pricks that they can have him for around 30 million squid next year if they fuck off and let us get on with our season. There are Cesc & Nasri haters out there, but this current team is much better with them then without.
Arsenal seems to be a club that is one step ahead too many. We as a club are living in 2015. An ideal scenario for 2011-12 season would be (though highly unlikely) Cesc Fabregas staying and completely erasing Barcelona from his mind, a completely focussed hard no non-sense defender (Not Djourou who can only contest Song’s position or else will only again do good until 2013 as a CB), a stronger competition for RVP as I do not see Arsenal doing extremely good without him playing (Mata fits the bill), Samir Nasri leaving (Yes, I’d prefer concentrating on Cesc than… Read more »
Hi Andrew Allen, this is a great site. I was wondering if you would like to publish an article regarding some good romance guides. Plenty of people are having relationship problems and often they don\\\’t know how to deal with them. Maybe a good article regarding romantic helping guides could help them.
