Despite remaining under the radar of many, England U17 international Isaac, who can operate in central defence or in central midfield, has enjoyed a steady first season as a scholar and was rewarded with his first professional contract recently.
Signed from Southend United in 2008, the 17 year old has been a mainstay of the Arsenal under-18 side this campaign, making 19 appearances in a variety of positions. Having played for England U16s as a defensive midfielder, he has tended to feature at centre back when called upon this campaign, but has also filled in capably at right back when called upon.
Strong in the tackle and a good distributor of the ball, Isaac does struggle a little against more physical opponents, but is making gradual improvements in that regard and is also quick across the ground. Yet to feature for the Reserves, he will be looking to become something of a regular presence in the second string squad next season, but this summer he will be able to reflect on a campaign that has seen him captain the under-18s on several occasions whilst also impressing the likes of Liam Brady with his dedication in training.
Always great to hear about new talent in store, especially in the wake of a game against `Sell Oil, Buy Players`Shitty. COYG
Englands future is in our hands!
