Gunners linked with teenage Croatian midfielder

According to Sport Italia, Arsenal are being linked with a £2 million move for NK Adriatic Split youngster Ante Roguljic. Yeah, we’ve not heard of him either.

‘Star’ of Croatia’s under-17 side, he’s scored twice in three games as they attempt to qualify for the age group’s European Championship, it is believed the 16-year-old is also being scouted by Manchester City. (Surprise, surprise)

We know the transfer window doesn’t open for a couple months, and it’s unusual for us to dabble in tittle-tattle so early, but we thought we’d make an exception in this case because…well because it’s a far more realistic than a move for Falcao or Fernando Llorente.

It could of course be a load of codswallop merely planted by an agent, but given our record of signing unknown continental starlets it wouldn’t be that surprising a deal.

It’s worth remembering we recently signed a teenage Macedonian goalkeeper so we definitely have active scouts in the region.

Never heard of him like i had never heard of eis before we signed him.2 months until window opens, surely Henry gonna return back he is in great form too i guess.

ARSENAL

Isn’t he always in great Form? He’s our Thiery-ery Henry

Cloudst

he’s a good talent but we all know what happens when manchester city is involved >__>

Do you think citeh’s scouts just follow our scouts around, making sure they always have a slightly larger suitcase of cash?

Miranda

It really used to happen in Africa, with Chelsea’s scouts literally carrying suitcases of cash following our scouts around. Hope we buy this kid if he’s good. I’m slightly depressed by the recent policy of going for older, not quite top-level players; it has the feel of Wenger being short of confidence in his own judgement and desperate to find ready-made, risk-free players on an increasingly miserable budget. Not that you can blame him for being wary of kids given the problem of Bendtner, Fabianski, etc. sitting on huge wages and proving impossible to sell. But if we don’t have… Read more »

Lol

Bring back henry keep that lad where he is. We need legends who know how to win trophies not small lads who want to learn how to win trophies!

ARSENAL

Honestly wouldn’t mind him coming back. Better than our other strikers any day

joeyk

Alexis sanchez being sold to fund barca move for falcao now that would be a signing and a half

Gandalf

Sanchez is just a sneaky diver, would’t really want him here. Just my opinion tho.

joeyk

@ Gandalf
Great footballer though, Terry tried to bum him in champions league so he might not want to move to London now!

TomJ

That brought about a chuckle, he did too

Arseblood

We don’t need to buy anyone now that Chamakh is a goal machine! Cough…..

TomJ

And another…

Boris

I am from Croatia and I never heard of this kid…
After Šuker and Eduardo maybe the next Croat in Arsenal????

Blu

not your mistake because mostly we don’t know.

Absentia Rose

This guy was six months old when Wenger was appointed as Arsenal manager. Don’t know who he is but I didn’t know who Wenger was back then either. And I don’t know why I post this cause there’s clearly no point in this post. But it seems I don’t know much though.

Sydney Gooner

Judging by his tongue sticking out we could have another Wilshere on our hands.

I think last window’s transfer activity is evidence of a change in Wenger’s transfer policy – so I don’t think he’s willing to spend this sort of money on unproven youngsters anymore. So if we do move for him (unlikely), Wenger must really see something in him at that price.
