Booom!
Baaam!
Wop….wop….wop a gangham what?
Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla are really good players. I just hope Walcott will sign a new contract, he has proved to be an very useful player…
Umm pretty sure Giroud had 5 shots with 2 on target. Which if im correct is more than 4
Depends on who you ask:
According to ESPN he had 3 shots, 1 on goal:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/match?id=355707&cc=5901
And according to UEFA he had 3 shots, 2 on goal.
http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2013/matches/live/index.html?day=5&session=2&match=2009554
And according to Opta he had 3 shots, 1 on goal
http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/667793/LiveStatistics/Europe-UEFA-Champions-League-2012-2013-Arsenal-Montpellier
So, while you are correct that 5 is bigger than 4, I’m not seeing any place crediting Giroud with 5 shots.
Thanks!
There’s a difference in pronunciation between Wilshere and Wilshire?
That’s got to be better than fucking ‘Arry calling him “Wiltshire”. You’ve got his name fucking written out in front of you, you twat…
I thought the preferred pronunciation of many commentators was ‘Wilkshere’.
There are a lot of tw*ts commentating.
HE CAN’t read.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
How the hell the English media preferred him over Capello….it’s just sad.
Was there last time he scored and again yesterday!
That bench is comfortable Squiller. And you don’t even have to get your kit on or go on the pitch. I would love your job (and salary).
what bench? I’ve haven’t seen squid for ages
so.. Tim.. are you telling us we are Stoke of Champions league or am I reading this wrongly 🙂
Well… there are some weird consistencies between Arsenal’s play in the Champions League this year and Stoke’s play in the Premier League.
Though, Stoke hit 18% of their passes long and Arsenal only hit 7% of our passes long (in CL, 9% in PL).
Maybe if we tried more long passes in the CL we’d get more shots?
Im thinking that more and more teams tend to pack the box out with players meaning that it is harder to get a shot off. I see the statistics and totally agree that we should hit more long balls to Giroud as teams are trying to stifle our usual style of play. So when our normal game doesn’t come off, we could turn into the European Stoke (not cunty Stoke btw) which would definetly help for when we inevitably draw Barcelona in the next leg!
I can only speak for the stream i was watching on atdhe which stated as he was subbed off that he’d had 5 shots 2 on target. I remember clearly thinking that was great considering he’d had 2 assists as well.
Thanks
You know, I check this blog more times per day, than a the parents of hyper active children at a shopping mall. This site makes me so fucking happy. Gooner till my ass bleeds out and I die.
This comment made me happy.
Yep. Numbers.
Anyone have the stats of the number of oil funded teams in Manchester who can’t get out of the group stages? Pfffftt class is permanent, apparently so is scum.
the best part about the comments section is observing the usernames! LoL.
What MPE² means ?

100 %- number of times Giroud has shown he is class
150%-stoke = Massive cunts
Jebus, seeing those shots per game averages drop year by year is depressing. The statistic isn’t everything (and in Arsenal’s favour, I would argue that they have become more clinical with their chances), but the downward trend is worrying, especially since Arsenal consider themselves a creative and attacking team.
