Thanks for the Nephew Christmas ideas! Now if I could just convince an 8 year old to ignore his dad and stop supporting Liverpool. Any gift ideas for that?
Go with the classic. A 03-04 Henry kit should do the trick.
im actually in the process of acquiring one myself, with the arsenal legends poster to boot
just make faces like suarez and fall on the ground rolling when he calls ur name
it was a five star performance!!
oh btw, i read this on MBM on guardian
“I think that
Gervinho is the player that
Bebe can grow into, which is a
scary thought for both of
them!”
and I went hysterical…
Just love the christmas feeling when gunners win. sigh!
One and only motto: Victoria Concordia Crescit. COYG
After watching Wenger’s post match interview, I’d give him manager ratings 9/10, for finally come out & admited that money was restricted in the last few seasons caused by the new stadium move.
So now, I think that ridiculous notion that he got the money but wont spent can be put to bed.
No wonder in the begining of the season he got high hope for Diaby’s fitness, not cos he wanted too, but cos he doesn’t have any other choice, does he?
Arsene Wenger: 9/10 – jigsaw puzzle!!
We can’t win the league, not this year, but had Van Persie not been a traitor, I think we’d be up there with the summer trio’s imput. At the very least, consider where Glory Hunters FC would be without his goals this season-I read a stat that put them something like tenth? All this ‘leaving to win trophies’ bollocks becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Had the Dutch traitor (and it hurts to see him in the filthy shirt of that vile club) not left, we’d be right up there. Call me deluded, but I genuinely believe that. It makes Jack’s loyalty… Read more »
Trivial Pursuit, now that’s a good one
Wow, first time i have seen any player get a 10/10. Santi was excellent!! COYG
Where was monopoly?! A classic!
Or a new bike! Movie classic.
Santi, Arteta and Wilshere=8.5/10=The three wise men
Still many sloppy unprofessional defensive errors which against the better sides would be a problem.Every time Arsenal give away a corner or free kick we still look very vunarable
that never used to be a problem and this problem should be resolved quickly.
we won,…..
You need to be more cheery or you may get a visit from three ghosts!
Don’t let a large scoreline fool you. A team’s defensive line is supposed to send fear down the spines of forwards, not kiss their feet.
While I do agree that we needed this win, I do feel he is right. We need to be more consistent in defense. Though, Per and Tomas are starting to pick up the pieces and build a stronger back-line.
“.Every time Arsenal give away a corner or free kick we still look very vunarable
that never used to be a problem” Have you only watched Arsenal this season? This is a recurring theme but not something to complain about today. We won, won well, scored more and conceded less than those red mancs against the same opposition.
We never used to have a problem with set pieces? Er…which club have you been watching sire?
We defended a cooooorner!
Wow, everything just seems so right with the world when we win convincingly. Three more points at Wigan, and I am going to spend the whole Christmas on a perfect, mellow high. The Arsenal = by far the greatest escapsim the world has ever seen since 1886!
Surely Arteta should be Lego?
Once again there was a complete lack of movement from his barnet last night!
We should put in a bid of £5 million for Fellaini’s hair alone. I’d just love an excuse to wear a Fellaini wig to matches.
I thought Ramsey was really good coming off the bench and this isn’t the first time his season. I think we should keep on playing him from the bench and in that way build up his confidence. And Santiago Cazorla was special as usual and didn’t expect this good a performance from podolski especially from the left wing. Jack was amazing so was arteta in the middle freeing up wilshere and Cazorla and providing them with the space they needed. Overall SEXY performance.
Great performance, its good to see us win again in style.
But before we all get too giddy, this was bottom placed Reading who didn’t mark Cazorla at all like most other teams have.
Lets see how we get on against Wigan.
Good confidence builder tho’. Well done.
Theo Walcott: 7.5/10 – Trivial Pursuit
– The best rating yet
Sign da ting theeeooooo
Santi Cazorla – Fifa 98 on playstation. Masterpiece.
Slightly off topic, but anyone see Gary Neville’s pre-match analysis? Obviously the guy is a nob, but an interesting analytical nob of that. Worth a look… http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/another-gary-neville-master-class-arsenals-attacking-options-past-present/
He was a nob while playing for Utd but as a pundit, he is the best one out of all of them. I can listen to him discuss games as he seems completely unbiased (at the moment) and has a genuine knowledge of the game that other ex-players seem to lack (I’m looking at the whole MOTD team since Dixon left).
Exactly. And in particular, the MOTD crew pretty much just say what they see. Neville gives us an actual expert opinion worth listening too discussing proper tactics that we may not have noticed; rather than “well, what he’s done there is kick the ball” drivel. I guess this sums it up nicely… http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/nov/27/gary-neville-punditry-sky-bbc?CMP=twt_gu
Thought gibbs’ was well thought out. Great fun then turn wobbly on to collapse for a bit to be built back up again
Walcott -(On) a new bike?
V. Amusing, if a bit generous to Gibbs & TV, I thought they were more electrical toy, without batteries to be able to play with it (good, but not great on the day)
I’m not sure I follow the psychology that putting a player on the bench will improve their confidence…
It’s more about bringing them off the bench when we’re doing well to allow them to build confidence by not being the stick with which to beat the entire team with.
Considering walcott’s current contract situation, Trivial Pursuit couldn’t be more appropriate !
This is my Xmas present – absolutely beautiful. More like this please Santi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdNeMHqH3lA
Happy Xmas fellow Gooners.
Arsenal forever.
Just 7/10 for Wilshere?? At least an 8
He was pretty good but not good enough for an 8 today, the highest he deserves is 7.5/10
it simply shows that something is wrong somewhere because when arsenal want to perform she play beyond ones expectation. i believe if wenger wants the EPL he can win it but feel very reluctant about winning trophies because that is not the key priority of the board. they board is all about making money the pls include the valuable ones too. if they can’t win trophy them give them what they deserve financially.

Absolutely loved Cazorla’s reaction to his second goal. It was like he was happily surprised to have headed the ball in to the goal. Aaaaahh, COME ON YOU MIGHTY GUNNNNERS!
It’s great to be able to smile again. Now keep it up Arsenal.
If Arteta had had a nightmare game he would’ve been a Ken doll.
Santi = Furby
Isnt Santi the one handing out the xmas gifts? His name surely indicates that.
Can Arteta then be Santi’s Little Helper?
Gunners rejoicing here in Pakistan, what an amazing win. And always a pleasure to read these blogs, very entertaining and makes me smile reading my brothers comments. Arsenal = life
Theo and the Ox same rating.??? theo had a great match , although should have passed a few times to players in better position.
The Ox at most a 6.5, still not incisive enough, hopehe doesnt stagnate.
Oh, and the missus thinks our HFB is, well, a HFB!!! But it’s ok, I’ll always love him more *swoon*
Mertesacker 7? For what? Is he already in the zone where whatever he does on the pitch, it’s never his fault? He was to blame for many goals this season and yesterday too. The first for Reading was more on Gibbs of course but Per stopped and did nothing. Verm at least was trying to cut the pass. And for the second Mert was horrible. Nowhere near the ball, the striker. Stop and stare. I’d love to see Koscielny back in our defence
…whereas against Bradford we were all a bit satsuma, perhaps even ‘Santa’s dead son’.
would love to see a formation where Theo and the bloke combine upfront with carzola right behind them, Jack and mikel/ the ox in the central mid In a star shaped mid and le-coq/ arteta (that’s if oxlade doesn’t play) plays in a defensive role.
