Time for someone to make themselves a hero! I believe!

GreekTragedy

I believe!! Got some real impact subs, a positive starting 11 and momentum from 2 big wins. Let’s ‘ave it!!

Hutch

Shame Sanogo ain’t with us and on.
His movement would have confused the fuck out of them – as well as us.

ManeEth

Attack! Attack! Loving it

Proff Gooner

Aka…

ALL GUNS BLAZING!!!

Forever COYG!!!

Phoosy

The Coq needs to have the game of his life for the defense to stand a chance with that lineup

SB

I guess the idea is to out score them by two goals and not worry about a clean-sheet!

If the team clicks, it would be fun, whatever happens.

CB

Surprised on Ramsey given he scored last time and was MOTM for me.

Jay Song

Agreed.
I guess AW just being cautious on Ramsey because of his hamstring.

GunnerDareMACEDONIA

My thought is if we have a score like 1-2 for us or 2-0 and we need another goal wenger is saving ramsey to go all for it and sub him with coq. Lets wait and see.

TruthHurts

Perfect line-up imo since Ozil is best through the middle instead of out wide

Anonymous Physicist

I guess if our plan is to camp in their half (and that’s probably their plan as well) a high energy box to box player is less important than having two great creative players in the middle and two fast players on the wings.

happy gunner

Phooooar that’s a ballsy move by wenger. He sure is going for it

Me So Hornsey

This is the only match you will see me condone all out attack.

Even if they score 2, I want 4 or 5 from our boys.

It can be done.

clegooner

5-2 would be great.

But, c’mon, these guys gave up 1 goal all through the group stages, and that was away from home.

Three goals is not on the cards.

jonnycakes82

That’s the spirit!

1GoonerDan

We created enough chances to score 3 at the Emirates – we didn’t take them. We can create the chances it is just a case of f whether we are clinical and can keep the back door shut.

fuhgedaboudit

NEVER EVER GIVE UP! NOTHING IS POSSIBLE UNLESS YOU BELIEVE IT IS!

mike

COYG

TruthHurts

lol was surprised there for a second thinking has Wenger gone all attack bringing attackers into midfield too?!?

Cracked

Maybe he thinks Ramsey can’t handle two 90 minute games in a row so quickly. Also maybe after the United goal welbz might go on a scoring run. Sanchez scored our goals in the opening months, then Giroud, and now Welbeck? One can hope!

One more champions league hat trick pls Danny boy!

My Free Kick

Fuck it, we’re all in!
Come you Reds!

My Free Kick

Come on you Reds!

Jay Song

Come on boys!!!
Time to write the history!!

i want to boff chuba and im not even gay

Defensive looking bench! Only Theo as a remotely attacking change. What’s happened to Tomas? Or Chuba Toothpaste?

Arsepedant

Well, Ramsey can also be an attacking player. But that bench is mainly for when we’re 3-0 up in the last ten minutes and need to shut the game down.

GunnerDareMACEDONIA

rozza is ill

Mpls

Rosicky reportedly ill, did not travel.

Jay Song

He has been ill.
He is back in full training but not considered for this game

Daniel

2-0 up at half-time and we’ll do it. COME ON ARSENAL!!!!

Arsepedant

Today will be one for the history books. That line-up has GOALS in it. Come on you Gunners!

Man Manny

Why am I having butterflies in my stomach suddenly? I was so certain of victory but as time ticks away, apprehension. The consolation is that I have it all the time even if we are playing a conference team.

Arsepedant

Got the same feeling as well. But as one my mentors once said to me, “It’s okay to have butterflies – just get them flying in formation.” Acknowledge your apprehension but have control over it.

Several beers will help also.

Gooneron

COYG! Feeling confident and apprehensive at the same time. Goosebumps all over

realseriousgooner

Giroud makes up for last tie with a brace or more today.

realseriousgooner

Oops forgot sorry mates…….COYG!!! COME ON!!!!!!!

GoonSquad_SA

I promise to run around naked If we make it to the next round.

Joel

I thought this would be the line up. Ramsey only recently back and fully fit. Welbeck brings pace and exceptional work rate. I would have thought he and Alexis will be tasked with pressing opposition defenders as high up the pitch as possible. Ramsey can always replace Coquelin when we really need to go for it in the last 30 mins!

Paul

For the first time for a long time imo, there is nobody who would start being unavailable due to injury!
Come on you full strength Gunners!!

Paul

Never remove your Coq until the game is finished!

Belfast Gooner

Very attacking line-up and a defensive bench. Think Wenger is looking to go 3-0 up after 30 mins, bring on 3 defensive players and close out the remaining 60! Seriously though we probably have no chance, but if we can push Bayern all the way 2 years ago after a similar awful display in the 1st leg, then we can score 3 unanswered goals 2nite. #Believe.

goonero

Surprised to see Danny starting ahead of Rambo…not disappointed just surprised! Gunners! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty… For tonight, we dine in hell!

Lass

That is some serious amount of attacking power. The right move I think, Monaco is going to sit deep and we need Santi and Ozil in the middle to break their defence.

Parisian Weetabix

No Rosicky in sight 🙁 he started against Milan and Bayern. I think he would’ve played if he’d been fit, because if he starts he’s almost guaranteed to have a good, tidy, purposeful game, and you really need a player like that in games like these.

But I’m confident. We’re playing well. And all the stats seem to suggest that the task we’re trying to achieve has never been done before, which makes me think it’s about time someone did. Rewriting history and all that. We can control a game, we can create chances and we can win this.

Henry! Chance!! Goal!!!

I dont remember the last time I was this nervous before an Arsenal game. I’m a nervous wreck right now

Asmatad

I fear counter attack

Dan

Bellerin is in for a horrible night. Welbeck like Ozil won’t track back and defend. Means Bellerin is going to be all on his own defending the right and filling in in central defence when Mertisaker pushes forward and is to slow to track back. We can’t afford to concede a goal tonight. Ozil and Welbeck stay forward and stand and wait for the ball. I would of prefered to see Ramsey and Wallcott in their place. At least they help out.

Paul

No sh1t Sherlock!

sauce

Koscielny to open scoring tonight.. #COYG.. #MiracleInMonaco..

Hessojay

Let the miracle happen tonight! 3 – 0 to The Arsenal. #COYG

The Beast

Goals Galore! COYG

Ciderman

Crumbs, should be three nil up already and is this ref a grade a numpty or what

hank1979

Good first half for the arsenal. Maybe rambo for coquette Monaco are not gonna come out to play. There will be chances. Not impossible.

Alexstratz

One of Walcott or Ramsey will score. We just need one more goal. Please make it happen Arsenal.

Canuck Gunner

Damn. Pretty much the most disappointing result possible. Was hoping our luck would finally change.

Ciderman

Flip that ref really put the skids on what was otherwise a good game!!!! Totally should have had this but yet again so close but yet so far – need second or first in the league and then do the treble unbeaten next season!!!

Heroldgoon

koscienly is a defender i would have walk in any team. Intelligent and like to frustrate the shit out of strikers. Not with his constant knicking of the ball and lobbing of players for no reason. What a player.

The Beast

3-3 on aggregate and we are out, that 94th minute goal in the first leg, grrrrrrr!
