I had the Coq as my man of the match.

Craig dawes

Santi cazorla all the way for man of the match dancing through the whole Chelsea team and maybe deserved a goal. Him teamed up with sanchez giroud and hopefully bemzema then and only then will I believe that the title is ours

Putney

Monreal?

ARiddlingName

On this ratings he’s done a Hazard; Gone missing!

captain gooner

Ohh yess arseblog, you missed our unsung hero, Nacho.

Chris

Pulled a Wenger: he’s ghosted Blogs.

Le_Dooner

The Zapruder film appears to show a man resembling Monreal on the grassy knoll.

thembinkosi

yes nacho….he has improved to his surprise l guess

Fabulous

Hahahaha loving that bonus rating!

On BT it looked more like both managers turned away from each other, rather it looked more like it was done by Mourinho on purpose.

Satnam Singh

U prick . That cunt saw Arsene drop his shoulder . so the cunt turned quick the other way because the whole world would have seen the cunt red faced .
That’s pure class Arsene .

Dan Hunter

I meant that knowing Mourinho is an asshole, why was he waiting to shake all the players’ hands? Obviously he knew Wenger want going to shake his hand.

Texas Tanaka

That’s exactly why he did it, he knew the handshake charade would make him look good on tv and that Wenger would have no part of it. It was nothing but attention seeking nonsense, and a pathetic attempt at redemption after having been made to cry by tactical genius Arsène Wenger.

Jagger

I follow 7amkickoff’s school of thought here that Mourinho deliberately tries to be the centre of attention, be it in victory or, particularly, in defeat. Just like when he went to the away dressing room to congratulate the winning team of Bradford last season in the FA Cup, Mourinho tries to garner applause for his ‘classy’ behaviour on one side, but then runs his mouth off to the press when given the opportunity. For what reason it is hard to fathom. Maybe it is to take attention away from the performance of his players; maybe he is trying to take… Read more »

Anti-Social Personality disorder?

Not being really serious, but look at his behaviour yesterday and its scary how many boxes he ticks.

Ajinkya

Thanks!

Dan Hunter

Watching this video again Mourinho didn’t look in Arsene’s direction so when was he supposed to have tried to shake his hand add he claimed?

Tay

Özil looked brilliant at the beginning but became worse as the game went on. Maybe it was because of fatigue, but a lot of sloppy passes at the end.
His first half performance shows promise though!

Aaron Ramsey was the complete opposite. Looked bad in the beginning but became pretty good later on.

Maddolove

Kos was magnificent

Crew

I feel so comfortable when Cech is in goal… and Koscielny in defense… and Coquelin in midfield.
We’re no longer only a great attacking team but also a great defensive team. The start of it was Koscielny and Mertesacker’s fantastic partnership.

Goonersmurf

I do detest mourihno.

Sean

Cech deserves 11/10 for punching John Terry on a follow through clearance. I just wish he’d done the same to Ivanovic for his bizarrely unnecessary and cunty obstruction tactic before his lovely free kick save.

Falcao can feck off as well for putting everything he had into elbowing Arteta on the sly. I can’t wait to see Mourinho’s latest vanity project crash and burn. Cunts of a feather flock together.

Fantastic win today, let’s replicate that twice more at least this season.

izzymuzzet

Santi should get 72/10 for that volleyed pass to Ozil.

Can’t wait to win the seble.

Mark

Interesting to see Ramsey central with Cazorla wide left, wonder if that was a one game situation with Chelsea’s more physical midfield or the look of things to come this season.

Alarmingly how infrequently Walcott gets on the ball at striker, Giroud touched it more in his first five minutes than Walcott did the entire time he played.

A bit alarming how thin our bench was for this match with just Giroud as an experienced attacking player. I know Sanchez will be back soon, but who knows on Welbeck, Rosicky and even Wilshere with the “training” injury.

col

Mert was ace today top class defending

MT

I think we more played like 4-4-2 with Ozil and walcott as strikers and Ramsey, Coquelin, Cazorla as midfielders. Even in pre season I thought Ozil was playing higher than previous years. I haven’t really saw him running behind the defense last season and this year I did it many times. Still think Walcott can’t play as a lone striker eventhough Ozil is helping him. He needs somebody with presence beside him.

These are more like the runs he used to make at Wolfsburg. I think it’s great that he’s had his first pre-season with us. Perhaps it’s given time for the training staff to focus on re-discovering this side of his game? Either way, it looks amazing. Hope to see more.

Cazorla was stellar so we have to include him somehow when Ramsey takes his favoured central spot. When Sanchez comes in though, he’ll be an automatic start for the left wing, and by the look of things, Ox will be on the right. Leaves plenty to compete for the remaining slots in midfield. Great problem on hand!

Joblow

I truly believe when Sanchez returns our best TEAM will be:
Cech/Ospina
Bellerin Mert Koscielny Monreal
Coquelin
Ramsey Cazorla
Ox Sanchez
Giroud

Ozil is great but so far over the 2 seasons he has played Santi has In My Opinion done more in terms of goals, assists, defence, ball retention and overall team play. Mr. Consistent!!

cygan'sbaldspot

Where’s Nacho? 🙂

Arse Sutra

mourinho = moron + whore ..
10/10 to him for displaying both these qualities today with his all too familiar cuntishness………

Goonerific

Cech definitely gives the fans confidence as well as the back four I’m sure. Cracking save from the Oscar free kick.

bonbonbon

Great game and very promising. Had £5 on the Ox to score first and for us to win 2-0 though, so really wish Cazorla or Gibbs could have tucked away one of their chances. Would’ve got £350…

Jerry Seinfeld

and then you’d break even for all the other 5 quid bets you’ve placed and lost?

col

Loving it not shaking morons hand wen ger ain’t two faced

Dan D

That felt good, make no mistake – they wanted that. Chech was so commanding in goal and overall a good performance. Yes they had more of the ball but apart from the Hazard chance they didn’t play through us again, and on clear cut chances should have been 3. My only negative is that once again, against top quality defences Theo doesn’t quite cut it for me as CF. He gets bullied off the ball far too easily and his movement not quite clever enough but I’m being a little churlish as we won so I won’t go in too… Read more »

iceberg10

Here’s a new concept: How about we give Theo a chance as in a run of games before we start judging him on the hand full he’s played in and ironically done pretty well in? It’s funny, people moan that he’s not good enough and in the same breath admit “he is a more clinical finisher than giroud but”….They both bring different qualities and are both underrated in my eyes…Theo gave the midfield space to play yesterday by forcing chel $ ki to defend deeper and was pretty good contrary to perceptions

Big Chief from Antarctica

What is this horseshit about a run that goes back to 2007? Wenger’s first win against Maureen is not the same. This fucking sentence is pissing me off and making me think the 3-5 win was a mirage after too much Guinness, which technically is still true on all accounts.

Jamie

And still Sanchez to come back this seasons looking good.. Coyg

Extra points for Per for flooring Fabregas???

Mourinho: ‘I told Roman I don’t trust these fucking Yokohama tyres…. The bus keeps sliding when I apply the breaks’

Muigai

At some point, I thought Mourinho would break down. These are the games he lives for. To be fair, I didn’t see Chelsea opportunities as clear cut as Gibbs’ and Cazorla’s.

DreyKanmzs

Mourinho acts like a kid tbh. If I was his son, would have poisened him for being such a cunt of a father.

Jerry Seinfeld

If I was Mourinho I would be a total cunt.

Alexis' Right Shoelace

Really enjoyed seeing Cech sign 3 trophies in 3 games after the whistle. Quality

thembinkosi

that was a good gesture by Cech … he even turned to the fans to show them that sign after facing the camera

ian dibble

Santi top draw again. Mourinho’s complaints about parking the bus brilliant, get your to overcome it then you muppet!!.

thembinkosi

he is a fool…. complaining of arsenal leaving the philosophy behind…..but went on to lose to that team.. failed to admit …

SFGiants

For a contest reputed to be a glorified friendly, neither team played like it was. Both sides were out for blood, and the better team drew it.

Special note goes to Cech. He did exceptionally well, considering he’s been used to having a bus in front of him.

Some dude

I have to say Cech was a class act today and not just his performance but his behaviour towards both sets of fans and players. Top bloke who knows how to carry himself well

die hard gooner

Great win but points taken so far 1. Theo gets bullied off the ball against strong opposition playing as a striker. If we can, bringing a striker that could hold the ball up and run behind defences would be great. Welbeck has those ingridients but he isnt clinical enough. 2. Bellerin is awesome and it is gonna take a lot of effort for debuchy to reclaim that spot. 3. Coq is improving his passing while he remains solid. Ideally it would be great if we brought in cover for him. 4. playing the Ox and Sanchez on the wings is… Read more »

Mourinho spends far too much time in his Child Ego State.

Gooner28

Having a world class goalie makes such a massive difference on the whole team and our attitude, and you can see it in the fans as well. The Ox is looking fucking hungry!! COYG!!!

thembinkosi

yes true man… cech will improve us

santori

Wonder what the excuse is now from the media pundits. I expect they will play up the “its not an important piece of silverware” olde hackneyed line. So we don’t win ‘trophies’ but we’ve now won the FA cup back to back and a historical most number of wins in that competition. Purportedly we have not strengthened enough and need goals but we scored more than Chelsea could muster with the addition of the “world class” Falcao or even (cough) Remy. So no Costa , we did not have Alexis. Players improve. 3 Seasons ago the one lacking a football… Read more »

well said mate!

gooner1886

Mourinho talks total nonsense, we all know that. The handshakes and throwing the medal thing were just to get a little attention when all eyes were on us as winners. The guy is such a narcissist. If he really has any class he would would of stayed with his team and let us get on with our celebrations. Anyway fuck him, great performance from us. I sincerely hope we go with ox and alexis out wide for the majority of games… Their pace and directness makes us look so dangerous and gives our midfield passers plenty of options. Also has… Read more »

AFC_SYD

I think Rambo had a quietly great game, kind of reminiscent of the end of the 2013 season – he wasn’t as aggressive going forward but I’m thinking its because Arsene instructed him to stay back and defend the lines and keep us very compact. Regardless he still did have a few good couple of chances too and troubled the Chelsea defense. Such a quality and versatile player.

DB10**

Haha at ex cap cescy. he withered in the passing as soon as he heard the boos. always looking for the short safe sideways pass.

heihaci

Cech is class

I can’t believe Blogs and others on here were initially not convinced by this signing!

Gunner_Fan

A good first half display but a really poor second half one. Let us face it – we only just got away. But to still win against Chelsea takes luck and we had it when Hazard fluffed his chance. We can’t afford such a defensive 2nd half performance against anybody if we are to win the league or higher. We have to come out, keep the ball and play – we are not Chelsea. BTW, Willian was fantastic for Chelsea y’day – ran circles around the MF, esp. Ramsey. And Coq was great for us. We are a couple of… Read more »

Dan Hunter

What drivel are you chatting mate? Ramsey is probably one of our best players and captain in the making. He was a star two seasons ago and it’s time for him to start scoring 15-20 goals a season consistently. He can be better than Lampard.

Gunner_Fan

Ramsey is one of our best players? What a joke.. For one full match, just keep your eyes peeled on him mate – the guy can’t pass under the least pressure, deserts his post regardless of situation to run into opposition box for glory-hunting, has little talent to play in a MF role, lacks basics etc etc.. You can call me a troll but when I called Scz the same as one who lacks basics and that he should not be our first-choice goalie since TWO years ago, ppl. said the same and Blogs (who loves Scz) told me off…… Read more »

Why are there season averages for some players and not others?

If this is the first rating of the season, shouldn’t the match and season scores be identical?

thembinkosi

I think the spirit of viera is all over at emirates through coq…. he has shown he can be a leader..can command senior players
