Man Utd 1-1 Arsenal – player ratings

A 1-1 draw with Manchester United wasn’t what we wanted before the game, but at 1-0 down in the 89th minute, you’d definitely take it.

Here’s how the players rated today.

I´m afraid we are not going to win the title under Wenger. Wenger is a sophisticated man with a great track record which the players like but, at this time and age he has lost what Klopp, Conte, Simone have: killer instinct and passion that passes on to the players. Ramsey is not Arsenal XI quality player. He is a good footballer and he´s is fine from the bench or against smaller teams, but against top rivals he lacks speed, strength and technique to play for Arsenal. Doesn´t matter if it´s on the wing or at midfield. He is an… Read more »

May be we will win the league, may be not, we shall see! As for Aaron, he’s a player who needs confidence to shine.. and he isn’t brimming with that right now. For me he can be as useful as Elneny or Xhaka when he plays well… but the real issue with our midfield is glue. Santi is our glue. Without him our individually talented midfielders don’t mesh and the ‘forwards’ are starved of service. That’s why today Sanchez was often in midfield, looking for the ball. Orzil looks bored without him too. If Santi gets fit and stays fit… Read more »

Lord Bendtner

Thankyou!
We don’t have a proper Cazorla replacement. Ramsey could have been that guy instead of playing on the wing. But still, no long-term proper Santi replacement. Would like to see someone like Isco brought into this team some future transfer window.

Arsefull

I agree we miss Santi terribly as he smartly builds up play from both deep lying and the middle of the park positions and frees up Ozil to quietly find open spaces going forward. I believe Wenger sees Xhaka as Carzola’s heir apparent but so far he has been hesitant to pencil him in to the starting line up regularly and because Granit was recently suspended for three games. The problem is that neither Ramsey nor Elneny can play Santi’s role in part because the former is not a great passer and lacks positional discipline and the latter, so far… Read more »

SaintSanti

I think Wilshere used to be the perfect replacement for Santi, but he has been out injured way too much. Hope can find some form in the future, but I doubt it will be soon enough.

I think Xhaka lacks the finesse Sainti has got. Santi’s abillity to dribble out of thight spaces is outstanding. Although I believe we shouldnt just be looking for a Santi copy. We need to adapt and stay flexible.

Mike

I can’t see Aaron in the team if ozil is in it.
If a big offer came in for Ramsey I’d sell him.
The lads injury prone too.

assistantref

Yep, this is the issue. Ramsey doesn’t really work with Ozil. They play very differently but both in about the same spot. Ramsey is too attack minded and tactically undisciplined to play in a team with a real number 10. He needs to play that role himself to be effective – not necessarily from the number 10 position, he could play as a box to box midfielder in the center too, but he needs the freedom to be able to just bomb forward and take shots, and he doesn’t get that in a team with Ozil since Ozil isn’t really… Read more »

I have never ever written a long comment here, and this will be the first and last time I’m doing it. I feel theres a need for me to air it. Ramsey is a conundrum for the team we have this season. The new look front 3 with Iwobi Sanchez Walcott had so much fluidity and panache about it, backed with the creativity and assurance of Santi and Ozil. I knew it didnt bode will for Ramsey, I just couldnt see how he would fit. I thought maybe he could adapt the Arteta role, sitting deep, keeping the ball and… Read more »

Stringer Bell

Did you see Ramsey attempting to run after Valencia ?. It was like Denilson in his prime. Let’s hope it’s not at all blogs.

Matt P

Awful display. We are no chance for the title. Third or fourth is ours.
Depressing.

Alex

Harsh with Mesut… Can’t do much when the midfield is weak…

PFo

Exactly. Didn’t get in the game, but the buildup play behind him was atrocious, as bad as it’s been in ages. It’s also a bit rich that even when criticizing Ramsey, Blogs finds a way to make it someone else’s fault. I don’t disagree that he should be playing in the middle or not at all–and I personally would like to see a Xhaka Ramsey combination at least tried at some point, before Cazorla returns from injury–but let’s not forget AW did give Ramsey a run of games in the middle of the park the second half of last season… Read more »

Stringer Bell

That’s what a lot of folk seem to forget, he played a number of games for us last season in the middle and was dog shite. It’s a myth that he is wonderful in the middle.

Mike

When Ramsey was beasting out in 13/14 , he was playing at number 10, right ?

La Défense

He never “beasted”. He just scored a few goals in consecutive games, and the British media promptly went gaga. People have selective memories.

Mc1892

Don’t be so ridiculous, he was phenomenal in almost every game he played that season. Perhaps it was form rather than his actual ability but to say he only scored a few goals isn’t right at all.

PFo

Nope. He played as an “8”, i.e. box-to-box, mostly alongside Arteta, who sat deep. Ozil played at 10 most of the time. And Ramsey was, mostly, exceptional, not just his goals, but his overall play (though the goals got the attention, and the attention seemed to go to his head, as he forgot to continue to work on improving pretty much every other part of his game, and now just concentrates on hollywood balls and attempts to get into the box and score).

Bill

He was not exceptional, he was good, and looked like he was turning his play around. It was also half a season and he got injured, when he came back he was anotasogooda.

beNZed

Agree on all counts mate. I’m no Theodore supporter all in all but he was the best of a bad lot going forward, showed some actual skills in tight corners to beat 1-2 men on more than one occasion, contested a few (not all) 50/50s that he’d normally bottle and even won 2 flick ons from Cech kick outs – definitely never seen that from him before. Özil had bugger all ball on the front foot among swarming defence and Ramsey was more clearly lacking match sharpness than anyone else on the pitch. Both fullbacks were outplayed which was a… Read more »

Mike

Today’s performance was almost like they just didn’t care. Wenger took ages to get the subs on but those subs saved us a point.
Rambo definitely struggled today , but so did ozil , mesut was so quiet.
Shows how much we miss little santi, he makes the midfield tick.

Gio

It’s crazy how much difference Santi makes to this team, and there’s some people who still can’t see how much we miss him. He’s irreplaceable, we’ve looked rubbish since he got injured.

GunnerDareMACEDONIA

The only player who can be bought and replace the class of santi a passing and making space for our attach is Veratti for me.

PFo

I agree his influence is immense, but the fact is we’ve got 4 other very good central midfielders in this squad, and, while few other top teams in world football have a player as good as Santi in the middle of the pitch, they also don’t seem as utterly abject in their buildup play as we do without him. To take just one example: Liverpool have no one even close to Santi’s quality playing in their central midfield, but they do ok. We need to find another partnership, after Coqzorla, that works in there, and soon.

berlingoon

The midfield was weak because we lacked creativity and that is mainly his responsibility as our number 10. He had a shocking performance considering he had 2 weeks without a game to recover for this one. I know a lot of people here won’t agree with me on this but I still think he is nowhere near as good to earn about 230.000 a week. For every good game he has, there’s at least one where get’s completely lost. And I don’t quetsion his Talent. But footbal is all about consistency and that is really missing in his game.

PFo

Fair enough if you think he’s overrated and doesn’t deserve the money, but your criticism of him shows a complete lack of understanding of how football works: we lacked creativity (and strength, and composure, and intelligent teamwork) in deeper areas and along the flanks, and Ozil wasn’t able to influence the game because he was starved of the ball in areas where he can do damage. It’s not his job to drop so deep he’s picking up the ball from the centre halves. When our buildup play is working at it’s best, it’s usually defender feeds Santi, Santi feeds Ozil,… Read more »

berlingoon

That’s exactly what I meant. Özil can play as poorly as he wants there will always be a lot of people telling me it was just because we missed Santi, or the wingers haven’t had a good game, or we have played with Giroud/Ramsey, who isn’t mobile enough to benefit from Özils passes. But if he can only play good if everybody around him has a great game he still isn’t worth that money. And don’t tell me I lack understanding of the game. I’ve played football all my life and have watched millions of games but I can admit… Read more »

PFo

You are entitled to your opinion, and I’m to mine. I don’t deny he was poor today, but my comment about your evident lack of understanding was a response to your comment that “The midfield was weak because we lacked creativity and that is mainly his responsibility as our number 10.” Here’s one way to put what I see as wildly wrongheaded about that: we didn’t really lack creativity today; I mean, of course we did, but our problems were SO much deeper and more basic than that. Saying the problem with our midfield today was that it lacked creativity… Read more »

AusDrexler

I think Ozil will have games where teams reduce his impact, after all he is our goto guy so reduce his impact and the opposition have a better chance of avoiding defeat. The trick here is to get the players around him to step up and take the flack… use the space that is created by the opposition focusing thier energies on stopping Ozil. He cant play well every game.

VintageFuzz

Not being mentioned is the fact that Mesut or any other midfielder on our side was pressed and smothered as soon as he got the ball. Koscielny and Mustafi had freedom to push up and distribute at times but it was more out of necessity because Alexis, Mesut, Theo even Aaron at times were being pressed. Cazorla in the side wouldn’t have helped much, the Utd bunch would’ve pressed him as well.

PFo

Yes, but I think you’re giving too much credit to the effectiveness of their pressing. It was hardly Liverpool or Tottenham. We made them look good.

Mesut O'neill

I’ll think you will found that Mesut is part of the midfield.

Kafkush

Can anybody link to Ramsey laughing at mourinho?!! I didn’t see that.

Edu's Braces

Go to arsenalist, dont look for mourinho just watch the whole penalty incident and you’ll see it.

PS thought coq was really good today keeping them from converting good possession to chances a lot of times, 5.5 seems harsh not that it matters at all 😀

Jambon

Hope Santi comes early this year

Jack4343

Outstanding! And I hope so too!

kaius

Thought our away fans deserved a 10/10 rating today. Sounded loud as hell on the broadcast – can anyone at the game confirm?

lanre

I don’t know why blogs and others keep going on about Ramsey needing to play in the middle to be good. That’s just bollocks. Last season he had a sustained run in the middle after the Cazorla got injured and gues what.. he still was shite. That period coincided with our worst performance last season but trust his apologists who put the blame on poor Corq. No way Ramsey should get in the team before Iwobi, Ox, El neny.. infact he should no way be near this team. It’s no coincidence that Ramsey’s outta the team, the team clicks and… Read more »

loose_cannon

Maybe that’s got less to do Ramsey’s performances and more to do with a lack of Cazorla. If that was Ox or Iwobi on the wing, that wouldn’t have improved us in the middle today! Coqulein- Elneny doesn’t work, neither are true box-to-box CM

Canador

Spot on mate. There is no sentiment in supporting Arsenal. I just like when someone says it as it is. The players come and go but the fans remain. With due respect for Ramsey, he is not in the level to play for Arsenal.

Tanned arse

Totally agree and I don’t necessarily think it’s because he’s a poor player. He just doesn’t fit the style or complement the the players that make our play so fluid. Slows the play. Sees things slower than most. Doesn’t play enough simple passes with speed or energy and also has a negative impact on the influence of out real big players. I don’t hate him, I just think we’re a different (poorer) side when he plays (regardless of whether he scores goals or not).

Uba Ngenegbo

There always a caveat for Rambo; what if he played in the middle, what if he is given a free role .
Truth is the Welshman is bang average and should be no where near the starting eleven of team nursing title ambitions. I will sell him in a heartbeat
Heaven knows what he has on Wenger.

Thierry Walcott

Comment:I knew our good run will end when Ramsey comes back because Arsene will always play him. Carzola is the man and must be offered a new 3 year contract urgently.

Carlos

Entirely predictable today but for one bright shining moment that I’m here to celebrate:

Finally, finally one beautiful end product to an Ox run. Real class that.

Momozemio

IMO not the best starting XI today. Fortunately Ox & Oli saved us from a mentally heavy defeat. Happy for both of them and for the draw point !

David C

could we play Ox at RB the next game or is that too risky? (similar to Valencia playing there for Man U). He’s a really good player when the game is in front of him and that’s pretty much the entire game when you’re playing RB. Just a thought.

Man U looked much more up for the game and that’s my biggest worry.

Well done to Oli; he should probably start against PSG! Let him have his revenge!

PFo

It’s not a bad shout if Jenkinson doesn’t really take the bull by the horns, though maybe wait to try it after the PSG game.

DB's first touch

Bonus rating: 10/10 for özil’s nutmeg on carrick

Carlos

Let’s be honest, our recent form is shocking. We’re lucky at the back and produced not a single SOG for 89 minutes against a middling club missing 3/4 of its starting defense.

No SOG and no real chances and still the old man waits until minutes 73, 81 and 83 to make changes?

As another old man said, that’s the definition of insanity.

vnjvnjv

What a shock from arseblog. Even when Ramsey was dreadful it’s still not Ramsey’s fault. A reminder that Ramsey played centrally for the last twenty minutes and all he did was try and get himself sent off. When Iwobi left Monreal exposed arseblog was at pains to bang on about this. But when it’s his favourite it gets no mention.

Wondering whether arseblog will even mention Ramsey’s dreadful performance on Monday’s arsecast or will he just spend 5 minutes slagging off a player on loan.

Crash Fistfight

FFS can people please stop doing their nut because blogs is a fan of Ramsey! You do realise that the blog is based on his opinions, don’t you?

His opinion doesn’t have any bearing on who gets picked and who gets sold. It doesn’t affect the way the team plays. Why is there such animosity in the responses around this subject?

PFo

Animosity is silly, true, but having our own opinions, and calling a spade a spade when we see it, is surely what the comments section is for, no?

Crash Fistfight

Of course that is what the comments section is for. I wasn’t talking about people disagreeing with blogs – I don’t agree with him myself (I though Ramsey was shocking today)! I just don’t understand why people seemingly get angry with blogs because he has that opinion.

vnjvnjv

It’s just the double standards and excuses that irritate me. Arseblog has been very clear that Iwobi hasn’t been helping been helping out Monreal enough and needs to improve defensively. But when Ramsey completely leaves Monreal out to dry it gets no mention. And then there’s the idea that Ramsey needs a run in the middle. Ramsey got a nice long run in the middle in the second half of last season and was awful. It’s didn’t matter if he was playing alongside Elneny, Flamini or Coquelin. He got twenty minutes in the middle today. He tried to get sent… Read more »

loose_cannon

Ramsey didn’t leave Monreal out to dry, he just got toasted by Valencia time and time again ;). Seriously though, I thought he improved a lot when moved into the middle and that’s where he has to play for me. He’s the closest thing we have to replacing Cazorla their (apart from Jack but that’s a story for another day)

Stringer Bell

Improved a lot when he moved into middle. You are taking the piss, right.

Keegan

Given his role on the day, offensive sub 1-0 down, Giroud deserves a 10. Came on, got us level, defended the point. Perfect sub appearance.

Vonnie

I gave him a ten, and if he’d been given another fifteen minutes I think he would have won it for us. Those subs were way too late.

AusDrexler

We all know Arsene doesnt sub before the 60th minute mark unless a player is near dead. Everyone could see subs were needed atleast then not close to 80 minute mark. I love the man immensely but Arsene sometimes needs to think outside his philosophy and mix it up a bit when its all gone to shit…. e.g for most of yesterdays game…. react a little sooner.

Mike

Girouds a fine player, great header today

Carlos_Santana

Firstly, all credit to ox with the cross.. Unlike the spuds game he came on to great affect. And ollie really should be getting more minutes now.. But moving on to sanchez.. Should not have even been near the field. So in effective.. Tuesdays game took it out of him and he really had nothing to give.. But the teams lack of fire in general was really disappointing.. We’re not winning the games we need to be winning.. Let’s just hope for dropped points above us. Least we still got out unbeaten run.. Now onto psg!

Mike

That cross and the work before it from the ox today , was a thing of beauty!
Relieved to get a point to be honest. Poor performance from the team.

loose_cannon

Ox gets a lot of stick when things don’t go for him, so he deserves a lot of praise for pulling us out of the fire there!

Gudang Pelor

Big Fucking Giroud! Love the picture Blogs.

Carlos_Santana

Oh and giroud had such a disappointed look on his face.. Clearly something to do with an unfit sanchez ahead of him today.

gabigol

anyone else get pissed when coquelin gets taken off ?

Trez

Not going to win the league. We have failed 2 rivals who are off form. We lack the elite mentality to win the league.
As for Ramsey, his mind is far gone. He just isn’t happy here. Play him as a CM or put him on the Bench. He’s best as a cm in a 4-3-3 or as a 10 in our present formation. Wenger has to make up his mind…

Mike

Yes , what to do with Rambo.
I’d play santi and Ozil ahead of him , even xhaka.
Was Ramsey actually on the left today ??

Gunnerhityou

Giroud needs to start, if he leaves in January we’ve got fuck all left! The three that came on were a lot better than the ones who came off, but why did it take so long to make the changes?

craszy gunner

Only 1 team wanted to win the game today and sadly it wasn’t arsenal. Wenger will never win the league until he does one over Mourinho…it is no longer coincidence. I don’t care what anyone says they were there for the taking…our manager froze again on the big stage against Mourinho on the big stage thats why he played Ramsey outwide for ”insurance” Yes I hated Ramsey out wide but for goodness sake anyone with half a brain could see it wasn’t working….why wait 80mins to change it?.. As long as Wenger keeps doing the same thing against Mourinho…the outcome… Read more »

Canador

The “specialist in failure” is sounding more justified each time he plays Mourinho. He seem to have ran out of idea about how to get on the guy. With such performance today…spoke volumes.

Shank

We choke in Old Trafford…………….shite performance against a really shite Utd team.
Sorry, but its a fact.

Mike

Spot on.
And there’s no need to, because that united team are nothing special.
But then again, we should be coming to old Trafford and doing them over , but we never do, so what does that say about us???

Mesut O'neill

Yes I remember us choking there 14 years ago

podb

Another solid away point on our march to the quadfecta: Milk Cup/League/FA Cup/Champions League ….
We were very lucky, but you need luck sometimes. Worringly for the big games coming up, Ozil was invisible … keep Alexis on bench for PSG. He needs a rest and we can beat them at home without our main man.

Giroud's bulge

I’m so big today!

OlivijeŽiru

What is Ramsey doing? He ought to have played left winger not roaming attacking midfielder? He was in the middle, in the box, on the right wing… but not on the left where he should have width our play. He made hard for Nacho who was exposed on the left side, Ozil, Elneny… He was always in the way. He was the main reason we couldn’t have developed our game. He wanted to dictate our. Since he is back we have been a worse side. Why he doesn’t make it simple? Fans said he will improved us defensively today but… Read more »

As mentioned before : 1) Alexis (and Walcott) up top is NOT the panacea to everything. Giroud is a BIG player NOT just a second choice option off the bench. Whether he should have started is moot but he certainly needs more minutes WITH alexis to be effective not just lumped in final 10 minutes. 2) Jenkinson lacks technicality. Frankly preferred if we had kept Calum. He tries but he offers little going forward. On the bright side, at least he was relatively OK. 3)We were going to be bereft of attacking threat on the right and width. In this… Read more »

i beg to differ with you on the ‘erring on caution’ part. that man utd team yesterday was poor and should have been beaten. with the way we played, mourinho must look back with regret at not having his typical team. cos we would have been beaten by another very ugly scoreline. when you get the opportunity to destroy your enemy, finish it off. its a basic rule. its just painful

HigiHaga

The boss got the starting 11 wrong and failed to make subs to correct his wrongdoing earlier

Gunner in Ghana

Anyone knows why our substitutions are so late?

Vonnie

I was really up for this until I saw the team selection. I’ve always thought that Ramsey is overrated and jammy, and my heart actually sinks when I see him on the teamsheet because I just don’t see what the point of him is. He runs around a lot, but he gets in everyones way, loses the ball, doesn’t track back, takes five touches when one or two will do and generally just slows everything down. Yet he gets the odd (sometimes very odd) assist or goal, and his supporters will hear nothing said against him, and Arsene is always… Read more »

Same old arsenal. We were lucky that our supersub salvaged a draw!

Cape Town Gooner

I miss Santi. I think Jack is a better replacement for him than any player in the team. As for Ramsey, I’m just shaking my head.

Mike

Agreed . Where is the beast mode Ramsey from 13/14 gone goddammit ??

Abiola Samuel

Rambo played well when he was deployed in the middle. Giroud safe us again. Walcott need to be rested. Jekinson tried, despite we was nervous, he could make some good tackles against Radford. Draw at Old Trafford is not really bad.

Georgeycharles

We don’t know what Wenger sees in training, but when the team sheet was revealed, that was an entirely predictable performance. Alexis looked tired and might have been a better option from the bench. Ramsey is still working his way back from injury (and hasn’t functioned properly in the team for some time) and Elneny lacks urgency and forward momentum. Cazorla’s creativity is hugely missed too, but surely Xhaka should be starting a game such as this. Can’t help feeling the team that finished the game,is closer to the one that should have started and earlier substitutions should have been… Read more »

Raghu

I don’t understand why Giroud did not started today he is performing whenever he has been called but today while we where wasting those early corners Giroud could have scored or atleast we could have more dominance in air whenever Cech had a long goal kick.
P.S. – Xhaka and Giroud should have started the match instead of Elneny and Ramsey.

Mike

I accepted long ago that Ramsey is a wenger favourite.
I hope he gets his form back.

FREDDO

I thought Elneny had a decent game. Nothing much was happening in front of him (well, actually, nothing) so he kept it tidy and didn’t do anything stupid. That is a skill in itself.

Disgruntled

The English core project has failed. Please, sometimes you need to take one step backwards to move two steps forward. Ramsey is a decent player, but he his skill set doesn’t synergize with how Arsenal plays. It is very frustrating to see him slow down our play every single time! If there’s one person who refuses to play one touch football, its Ramsey. DWELL AND DWELL. Oh my goodness, it was awful to watch his decision making. Always blaming teammates for the wrong pass! He has to realise its a team game and not one where he can single handedly… Read more »

The upside dowm

Ramsey isn’t ENGLiSH

Lasse

Aaron Ramsey is not a staring XI player for Arsenal, and I don’t think he has a place in the best team as long as we have Özil.
We need a new manager, we will not win the PL as long as we have Wenger.

Razz

Where was iwobi? Aaron didnt play well 2day

Adam

Way to harsh rating of the Coq. Our best man (not counting Girouds crazy impact)

Glen Helders left foot

Ozil is a footballing genius but he’s a coward, as long as he’s the pivotal player in our attack we’ll never win the league. Criminally bad performance from Ozil,Walcott and Ramsey today, as for Wenger typical performance

podb

Your’e a coward for calling him out like that on social media. Was he a coward against Ludogrets? He was poor today but hardly had a nano-second on the ball. Our other players need to step up and help Mesut. Mourinho is a cunt. So is Rooney tunes. As long as we are in touch come April we can win the league. Fact.

I hope Mourinho gets punched in the throat

I loved how the Man u bench were all smiles and Mourinwhore was already practicing his post match speech (probably with a jibe for the gaffer)then Olivier Giroud rose above all to head home! You could see the look on their faces changing and Mourinho almost crying…..its such things that make me happy! And in my opinion Ramsey and Elneny should have been subbed at half time for Giroud and Xhaka.

George

Horribly conservative and lop-sided starting line-up -really don’t get it at all- and a bang average performance to boot -can we put shock collars on Theo, Alexis, and Ramsey so they stay roughly where they should?

The point only seems OK because we were headed for a loss. Need to get back on track quickly. Drawing away in games like this is OK if you can beat the likes of Middlesborough (and Sp**s) at home.

FREDDO

Is the big lesson from all of this that you can’t have Ramsay on the wing when you’ve got Alexis as CF. Alexis needs two wingers who are prepared to run past him when he drops deep (particularly when Bellerin isn’t there). That’s why the Ox should have played. Nobody seemed to be keeping the ManU fullbacks honest the whole game.

COYG1001

Tough ducking game. When Santi’s out, we needs to bolster out midfield creativity. Ramsey doesn’t due that. Granite makes more sense, maybe even Ox. Ramsey’s role in team? maybe back up to Alexis in false nine, but more often will probably make sense to just go old school with Giroud. Wide right may also make some sense, but Ox has pushed ahead as Theo’s first player. Reality: Depth hurts some players, as does balance. Hard to see where Rambo works these days.

FREDDO

Ramsay isn’t a winger and he isn’t really a midfielder. I don’t know what he is (a box-to-box man in a mid-table team?) All I know is that Valencia thought it was Christmas because he knew Ramsay didn’t threaten to run past him and poor old Monreal was left totally exposed. Chris Coleman thinks Ramsay is a genius. I beg to disagree.

Glen Helders left foot

Yes Ozil was immense against the mighty ludogerets, I take it all back….he’s a coward

Sean Poe

Admittedly, we were shit. I don’t want to be one of those ‘let’s all be positive, guys, life is what you make of it” type fuckers, but… Every comment on here is bashing the fact we didn’t win the game and played like a bunch of cuntbags. It wasn’t that long ago that a good result at Old Trafford was picking up a point and avoiding defeat. I guess I’m just trying to say that it’s fine to be happy we didn’t lose. I bet there are a lot of United supporters who would have taken the point before kick… Read more »

bobsterino

Finally someone with a sense of perspective. Everyone needs to calm down, it’s just one game.

No Santi ..no title

I guess the name says it all..

rmpauden

I.d have taken the point before kick off but the frustration comes from being overrun by a Utd team we all like to describe as crap. A win at OT just seems long overdue?

Arun Satyarth

Mohammed Elneny gives you the illusion that he is playing good with his passing stats, when in reality he is neither creative nor defensive minded and all does not have the pace to get back in position. I think we’ll be better off starting Xhaka.

Tom R

Anybody expecting a brilliant performance after an international break where players have just arrived back from all around the world leaving 2 days of preparation where misguided. And to those who are talking about selling Ramsey, a player who made it to team of the tournament at the Euros, who is playing out of position and who chose US over United remember, need to show the man some support. COYG.

GoonerSG

Arsene should play it by merit: Whosoever performs well in the previous game shall start in the next one. Based on the United game, Giroud should start against PSG. Alexis to the bench, so does Ramsey and Elneny. Coq and Xhaka in the middle. Ox on the right. Ozil in the middle and Iwobi on the left. Gibbs on for Monreal.

Bryan

Do we all watch the same games or not?
Ramsey is being played out of his position that’s so obvious just to give him game time. I bet he would have been a better option than Elneny. Sanchez was suppose to be benched.

dotman

i have never posted a comment here. firstly i want to commend blogs for running a wonderful site. now about yesterday.. after seeing the starting line-up, i was sure it was going to be a man u win or draw. not because they are so good, in fact they so shit at the moment, but because it should have been a different line-up. the reason alexis and walcott have been good this season is because they have an iwobi on the left. why didn’t he start? why was xhaka left on the bench? why is it that the manager doesn’t… Read more »
