Arsenal to play Chelsea in China (not today)

Arsenal have confirmed that they will visit China as part of their pre-season preparations this summer.

The Gunners will play Chelsea at the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing on 22 July.

It’s the second time we’ve played in the arena; in 2012, we lost 2-0 to Manchester City at the former Olympic Stadium in a game that ended in near-Monsoon conditions.

The match in Beijing will follow Arsenal’s pre-season games in Australia against Sydney FC (13 July) and Western Sydney Wanderers (15 July).

Should be a great treat for our China Gooners.

For a moment there I got really confused with the heading. The (Not today) part adding to the confusion. Let’s go beat Chelsea twice in a year. #YaGunnersYa

Hopefully the horrendous traffic conditions convince the players to never go there.

Yeah, cause the pre-season is for making money by dragging your squad around the planet, not for actually preparing your squad for the season…

Enough is enough.

I could see the way the match was going, so I decided to give the drone my son bought me for Christmas it’s first flight. Damn thing just took off and disappeared, never to be found – just like Arsenal’s season. Bugger !

Even managed to comment on the wrong story, I give up

Da Oli G Show

Arsenal’s players clearly thought that they were supposed to be playing in China today. They looked lost and jet-lagged. Someone should have reminded them that they were supposed to play Chelsea in London today.

Perhaps this is a prelude to Sachez’ £70m transfer to some Chinese club.

Stonroy

I get a sinking feeling that Wenger will be back next yesr.
