Arsenal have confirmed that new defender Sead Kolasinac will sport the number 31 in his debut season at Arsenal.
We’re not quite sure what the significance of 31, if indeed there’s any at all. We had a check and he wore 6 at Schalke and wears 5 for Bosnia. The Jeff used to wear 31, we’re guessing he’ll get a new set of digits.
As you’ll remember, Kolasinac signed on a free transfer and will now compete with Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs for a role on the left side of whatever formation we decided to go with in August.
Anyway, here’s how Arsenal’s social media team made the announcement. Snazzy.

Right…
1. (5^2) + 6 = 31
2. [(5 x 6) / (5 x 6)] + (5 x 6) = 31
Clearly it’s the second one.
