Arsenal 6 – BLT Borisov 0

BidOnLard

Should’ve been eight Newcastle burgers indeed

A Different George

A little harsh on Theo.

Ox in the Box

Don’t know about you, but I love spicy pulled pork.

Ebo

In Mexico they call it Carnitas and it’s better than any other pulled pork you’ve tasted anywhere else.

Next time do the taco edition, starring Alexis Salsa-cheese, Guacamesut Ochilly and uh, Nacho Monreal.

Mpls

Scored two, assisted one, assisted the OG, and drew the penalty. I know they rolled over, but man, if being central to 5 out of 6 goals ain’t a 9, I don’t know what is.

I’d wager if that were Alexis he’d have got a 9.5 or a 10.

Kwame Ampadu Down

Scored two ??

Clock-End+Mike

Scored one, assisted two + the OG + the penalty. That is, as you say, 5 of the 6 goals. And but for a couple of good saves, could have had a hat-trick.

Mpls

Oops. Mental note A in the G column. Well a 3 it is then. He should do more.

Jimbo Jones

Blogs you’ve got me raiding the kitchen cupboard to make sandwiches at bed time!

Mate+Kiddleton

Still think Debuchy has a lot to offer us

Flummoxed

He did look good

Cliff Bastin

I thought Ainsley was at least a peanut butter.

Crash+Fistfight

That 7.5-worthy sandwich for Debuchy’s rating sounds revolting.

Bould\'s+Eyeliner

I would replace it with a good hot pastrami, grey coupon, on pumpernickel rye. With fries and a few kosher pickles.

Bould\'s+Eyeliner

Poupon spell correct. Intended.

Cool+Papa+Bellerin

Surely Theo comes with an espresso from the coffee machine

Shank

Debuchy was superb.
Technically perfect throughout.
Good man……..fuck the begrudgers.

I AM ARSENAL

Are Debuchy and Niles pushing the currently below par Bellerin and Kolasinac?…

Flummoxed

Agreed. We’ve got the depth, I’d like to see the competition

Gudang Pelor

Debuchy for Bellerin definitely yes, I dont know about Ainsley fot Kola though.

Crash Fistfight

No.

Bergkamp\'s Toe

Not sure Debuchy has the legs to play wing back.

Gandalf

I love a good fish finger sandwich, you guys are missing out

Crash Fistfight

There weren’t any scores above 9.

Big Mad Andy

10 would be a spicy shrimp po’boy in New Orleans

Santori

MOTM Jack. Superb. Weght of passing, the way he engages and commits opponents, he creates space. Potentially able to somewhat replicate Santi’s ability. Good to have as option not as replacement for Granit perse more as alternative to Ramseys’s role which requires the most interpretation. Debuchy. Fantastic strike. Somebiffy moments defensively but class going forward and starting to regain his timing. Will be very crucial to have as an alternate to Bellerin Holding Chambers …are we seeing what Wenger perceives as the eventual future of the defense. Communicated well together in a back 4. AMN spells MAN. Sneaks in under… Read more »

@FBGunner

I have no idea what the f*ck any of this means, Blogs!

Santori

Jack.MOTM.beautifully weighted pass and an ability to engage and commit the opponents. He’s one with potential to close to replace what Santi gave us.will be pushing Ramsey in what must be one of the more difficult positions which requires more interpretation. Debuchy. What a strike. Some iffy moments defensively but otherwise class going forward and rediscovering his timing. Will be great bonus in having a viable alternate to Bellerin Holding Chambers. Are we seeing what Wenger deems as the future defensive partnership? Communicated very well together in a back 4 AMN is MAN. Subtly creeping in to a role where… Read more »

nacho man

player ratings were getting lazy and unintuitive before tonight but after this shit show u might aswell scrap um blogs…
gona lose me soon if u persist on being willy nilly

PFo

seriously?

these were the best part of my day. and it’s my birthday.

Finsbury Park Gooner

You must’ve had a really sad birthday my friend

Wez

You had me at Toasted Ham and Cheese

uhtred

Or toasted cheese and ham haha

David C

don’t worry about this salami, he’s probably just having a bad day 🙂

Ayleym

Wouldn’t waste your time then….. don’t even need to watch the game to name a sandwich after a rating.

Crash Fistfight

Doing serious ratings for that game would’ve been completely pointless. It was a dead rubber against a team who I honestly think isn’t even Championship standard.

ChrisGoona

Leave off nacho. Blogs just needed an evening sandwich while watching the Arsenal game. So as the ideas ran through his head over what to eat during the half-time interval, he put them to good use by the end of the game!

Dinobot

Wilshere pulling the strings and emphatic finishes throughout, including the own goal!

Sure BATE was crap but I’ll take a big win anytime

Big+Mo

Best player ratings ever.

Espen

What must Wilshere do now to warrant at least a start in the league?

Serpent

Convince Arsene to change formation to 4-3-3/4-5-1?

Calm

You know what i find amazing about blogs ratings sometimes, is like it is set based on certain players. If we have a clean sheet and Petr is in goal having nothing to do then he gets at least a 7 yet if is Ospina he gets 6.5 because he had nothing to do. Similarly, for certain players the one sloppy pass (not leading to any goal or anything) will be highlighted though they may come up with an assist and get down graded for that yet another player is upgraded for the one pass that almost came through but… Read more »

A Different George

As Blogs has replied in the past: “It’s almost as if these were subjective ratings.”

Calm

Elneny pulling the strings all over the pitch; Wilshere the attacking force; Walcott actually taking players on; Coquelin adventurous and pushing play forward; Welbeck okay but really needs to work on his change of pace and body control to slow down sharply after a run; Giroud lovely team play all over the pitch, and made the most of the opportunity he got; Debuchy in his right position was on point bar the crossing; Chambers a bit to adventurous, though good on the ball he should let the midfielders do their job; Holding kept it simple and did his job; Maitland-Niles… Read more »

Dholio

Let’s be honest. Theo had a very good game. For me, he was involved in the 1st 5 goals. 1 goal, 2 assists, last touch for OG and drew the penalty for HFB’s goal. Not bad for 70 mins work.
Deserves to be on the bench and 1st offensive sub on Sunday after this performance.
We’ve been crying out for players to be pushing and knocking on the door for 1st team inclusion from this tournament. A few guys spoke up last night with Theo front and center.

Bobby

It’s insane how good our second string team is. I’ve never seen depth like this at arsenal before. That can only be a good thing.

Crash Fistfight

Are you the co-commentator from Fox Sports for yesterday’s game?

ChrisGoona

The opposition were clearly not up to the task, but what a performance. Some of the football was delightful. Not seen Theo play that well in a long long while. Jack was instrumental and almost kept his level for 70 odd minutes, which is very encouraging. The restrain Wenger has shown while preserving his fitness, has been key.

Overall team rating: Steak Sandwich with lots of sauce!

David Hillier\'s luggage

Glad I turned up and got a 10! On that front, the club really needs to sort out a donation or non-sell out ticket exchange system. The 90% of the empty seats in the lower tier were season tickets, in sections that the Arsenal ticketing site showed to be sold out. The fact that the all-ticket section in the Clock End next to the away fans was packed (in the first half at least) shows there’s interest from fans who might not usually go, I’m not sure why the club aren’t doing more to capture those fans.

lula

Thought Giroud was more of a smooth peanut butter on toast. Whereas last season he was crunchy.

I’m sure my point is clear to all.
