Arsenal midfielder Kim Little will be out for a period of ten weeks after x-rays confirmed that she fractured her fibula after a strong tackle from behind from Chelsea’s Drew Spence on Sunday. Spence was booked for the challenge. This confirms the information yesterday from our weekly round-up.
Little has been an integral figure for the Gunners this season, who have won all of their games. She has scored in each of her last 7 matches for club and country and had a goal and an assist at the time of Spence’s challenge.
The Arsenal medical team issued an update this afternoon confirming that she will be out for an estimated period of ten weeks. She will miss vital games against second place Birmingham in November and a trip to title rivals Manchester City in December.
Such a shame, Arsenal ladies are sensational and she has been a big part of that. Hope she comes back sooner and stronger.

Bloody disgraceful. I would say something about hoping the FA take action, but from the way serious injuries to the Arsenal men’s team over the years have been dealt with I think we all know that’s not going to happen.
Just because we play nice, other teams think we’re fair game. Frankly, it’s a disgrace.
Horrible tackle by the looks of things:

How that wasn’t a red card is beyond me…. It was very intentional and definitely violent. Spence got away with that one. Hope she comes back sooner and stronger
Infuriating. Poor Kim. Big loss to the squad.
That Spence was a bully from the second half I watched. Shame she robbed Arsenal ladies a good player for long period of time. Come back strong girl. COGY
She committed three shocking tackles in the game. The referees at this level are terrible.
Speedy recovery! Ref *waves a stick at the officials and Spence*
Let’s win the WSL for Kim! Wish her a speedy recovery and looking forward to the burgeoning “Little-Nobbs” partnership that has mesmerised us in the first few matches of the series.
