Emery handed fine after admitting improper conduct charge

Unai Emery has been handed an £8,000 fine by the FA after he admitted to the charge of improper conduct levelled against him after the Brighton game.

The Arsenal boss kicked a bottle of water which hit a Brighton fan. The Spaniard had his immediate apology accepted but the FA brought the disciplinary proceeding against him anyway.

Today, a statement read:

Arsenal Manager Unai Emery has been fined £8,000 after he admitted an FA improper conduct charge and accepted the standard penalty. It concerned his conduct during the game against Brighton on 26 December 2018.

The Gunners face Fulham next year looking to bounce back from the demoralising 5-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday night.

While we are it can the team and manager also be fined for every soft goal we gift for the rest of the season!

It’s fine there are a few teams playing better than us. It’s not acceptable to watch them give away such soft goals so regularly.

But then we’d have even less money for transfers…?
Unless we’d let the plsyers pay it out of their own pockets (poor Mustafi, literally) and give it to charity.

Runcorn Gooner

Danny Baker on his podcast with Gary Lineker was asked about ways to improve the games for supporters. He said, tongue in cheek , that after a poor game the players are brought out to the half way line and receive their weekly wages in notes one by one to satisfy the supporters and make the players more aware.

Ozil would be out on the pitch for a long time!!!!

Bloody hell, they must be busy down at FA HQ…

That twat Morihino picking up and slamming down a load of bottles a while back I thought was much worse and sending out such a shit message to kids etc.

That’s extensive.. It’s like killing a fly with a sledgehammer. The FA can’t help themselves, can they..?

That’s fine (no pun) Just away for the FA to mint money. So long as there is no touch line ban or something more ridiculous. So at least we know we have a manager taking over from the old one who is in similar mold (He’s even more accurate) …certainly results have been similar despite some quarters in the media trying to imagine something different otherwise. Just 1 point better than last season, still getting pummeled by 4 to Liverpool away. No more Dick Law and we are still buying band aids like Lichsteiner, players we don’t exactly need like… Read more »

8,000 quid? Glad he didn’t do something serious!

On the question of charges being levelled, I believe Ozil is in his 30s, lives in London and drives a Merc G wagon – could it be him who was caught speeding on M25 on Sunday morning as reported in various newspapers? Last time it was just a parking fine he picked up, this time a ban is on the cards and obviously as an Arsenal player he will receive a 6 game ban too.

Open door to Ozil jokes……………

Carlos _ Santana

Well Salah fingers didn’t get banned or fined for his dive the other day so I didn’t expect much from this ?
