Arsenal have recruited former MK Dons manager Dan Micciche to coach the club’s under-15 side.
The 39-year-old spent three months in charge at the Stadium MK earlier this year and has been tipped for a bright future in coaching despite being sacked after overseeing a run of just three wins in 16 games.
Micciche arrives at Hale End having also garnered experience coaching England youth internationals. In an earlier spell at MK Dons, he oversaw the development of a certain gobby Sp*rs midfielder.
“We have appointed a forward thinking, creative youth coach who is highly qualified and experienced in developing young players. Dan will be a fantastic addition to the academy,” said Per Mertesacker of the appointment.
The German has also brought in Adam Pilling to coach the under-13s. He was previously head of academy coaching at Hull City.
Per is bright and a good man.
I’d trust his judgement, let’s see if it pays off. Good luck!
I can imagine that it’s probably very tough/unlikely to get the permission to interview current Arsenal staff but surely you must be eager to get Per for a one-on-one chat for the Arsecast Blogs, now that his playing days are over! 🙂
Any plans to do so?
damn! he is tall!
He’s a giant of the game.
