Trio of Arsenal fixtures rescheduled in October

Arsenal’s October matches with Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace have all been moved from their original Saturday kick-off times.

The home matches with the Cherries and the Eagles have both been pushed back to Sundays due to our involvement in the Europa League while our trip to Bramall Lane has been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports and will be played on a Monday.

Arsenal v Bournemouth
Sunday, 6 October – (originally Saturday, 5 October)
Kick-off: TBC

Sheffield United v Arsenal
Monday, 21 October 21 – (originally Saturday, 19 October)
Kick-off: 8pm

Arsenal v Crystal Palace
Sunday, 27 October – (originally Saturday, 26 October)
Kick-off: 4.30pm

There only appears to be one train leaving Sheffield for London after 10pm on 21 October, so the change will likely screw over a fair few fans, as usual.

I’m sure we will get a lot of away supporters in Sheffield on a Monday. Good switch…

North London is Redder

There are a surprisingly large number of Arsenal fans in Sheffield. I think it’s the hatred of Manchester United teamed with the collapse as an entity (relegation, dodgy owners, anger) of Sheffield Wednesday at a time when Wenger’s Arsenal were captivating the nation. I was always pleasantly surprised by the number of Arsenal fans I encountered when I lived there.

Justin

So who do you think they would support when we both meet in a match?

I’m sure the club will fight the fans corner, once the pound signs stop rolling in their eyes.

Josh is already on it, guaranteed.

im sure i saw Pepe in that 1950s photograph the first time i looked……but now he seems to have vanished

Chris

That’s my visit to the Emirates f****d. Flights booked from Aberdeen for when the Crystal Palace game was on the Saturday and allowed for a potential move by booking last flight home on Sunday but wont be able to attend now with a 16:30 ko. Thanks TV wankers

Glenn

That’s a Europa League week. It was always going to be moved back.

Wait, Sheffield Utd away is the week of a Europa League fixture. Surely the club has to say something, it’s clearly unfair for our fans and players. Doubly so given Utd away on the week of a Europa game has all been moved to a Monday evening – one of those group games is certainly going to be away.

This means that we won’t play on a match on the traditional Saturday at 3:00pm from the start of the season on 9th August until the Wolves match on 2nd November.

Note: Fixtures for November not confirmed so even that could change.

I genuinely miss being able to watch us semi-regularly on a saturday MotD, I’d love for us to be back in the Champions League for that reason alone.

That came out yesterday so I don’t know what he’s been up to today. Hopefully learning about what we think of shit.

Everytime I hear the arseblog news notification on my phone I get all excited, drop what I’m doing and check to see if it’s Pepe. It’s making it really hard to do any work.

I’m worried the other surgeons might put in a complaint.

SB Still

Yes, been waiting from yesterday. Hopefully he will be in the squad to Barca.

In other news, I’m disappointed about the Lukaku Dybala swap. It strengthens ManUre! They seem determined to buy Maguire as well.
