Arsenal have confirmed that every member of the first team squad is fit and healthy.
All of them.
No dicky hamstrings. No sniffles. No tweaked backs. No compound fractures. No dislocated shoulders. No fractured spines. No runny noses. No bird flu. No ebola. No migraines. No blood infections due to dodgy tattoos. No ACL problems. No medial ligament issues. Nothing.
We’re not sure if this has ever happened in the entire time this site has been running. It’s mad.
It means one thing for Unai. No excuses.
Arsenal will travel to Portugal this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s game with Vitoria in Guimarães. It’s likely we’ll rotate heavily with one eye on Saturday’s must-win game against in-form Leicester.
What the fuck.
That’s funny? I heard Aubemeyang was sick.
Yeah, I’m down with da youf.
I hate to tell you but if you have to say you’re down with the youth, you’re really not!
*whoosh*
No, I got it. You’ll note I wasn’t commenting on the play on “sick”, just having to speak of being down with yoot dem. Y’understand?
*dig, dig, dig, dig* 😉
Injury-free squad for the first time since I became an Arsenal fan. Even with a full squad, I can’t get excited about any game as long Unai is still in charge. Vitoria gave us a good run at the Emirates. Facing then at their home ground could even be tougher. I am wondering what Edu, et al. are waiting for.
Injury free so long as we are talking about physical injuries.
Mental injuries include Xhaka, most obviously, and all the rest of them suffering from nightmares about holdng onto a lead.
100% correct @ C.B. Mental injury is the worst kind.. There’s urgent need for urgent treatment.
#Emeryout
I heard Bayern is hiring
So are Stoke. He’d probably fit in well.
What, a cleaner?
The Xhaka saga, of course, comes in the context of the endless Ozil saga. Well, maybe it has ended at last–Emery’s brilliant man-management has turned Ozil into a fine number 10, who makes quick, incisive passes and is at the centre of all our attacking moves. LAN. Good work, Unai.
Does not bode well for Mr Emery, A fully fit squad, and cant deflect the attention to the Mesut Ozil saga as ‘the club has no decided that he can actually play football after watching 64 videos of him in a row’ A loss on saturday and the severance package will need to be looked at in fine detail. (stuck in a weird position for the first time in nearing 30 years im hoping we get turned over in the next few games and have a new manager by the turn of the year) Short term pain for Long term… Read more »
I hope that Bayern will take Emery
You jinxed it, Arseblog.
Now be ready for 3 injuries on Thursday.
3 injuries during a recovery session would definitely get emery the sack…
Wednesday! Tomorrow afternoon we play! When was the last time we played in Europe on a Wednesday?! ☹
… at 3.50pm
9.20 pm here will be nice viewing time. No doubt we’ll shit the bed since I’m watching. I secretly believe that our good cup form and poor league form is entirely down to me watching the afternoon games but sleeping through the night games.
Same same
Any chance you can take an afternoon nap on Saturday?
The Europa League final v Chelsea was played on a Wednesday
And that ended fantastically well!
? well I’d banished that from my memory! You can understand why!
# Ketan God forbid!
There was a time during the Wenger years when you sat and wondered what could have been if everyone had been fully fit at the same time.
I remember that time. 2006 to 2018 I believe.
Is Admiral Nelson fit?
Well, if there are no injuries… ?
Arseblog news article on November 1st… The England under-21 international continues to work his way back from knee ligament damage and won’t be available until later this month.
Nelson only played 45 minutes for the under 23s last week, but good news if he is back obviously.
The only time I’ve won money betting is when I predicted Arsenal to lose the Europa League final (as a sort of reverse-jinx might I add).
This time I’ve bet 20€ that Emery will be the coach after we lose on Saturday. Probably the best money I’ll ever spend.
Fake news. Abou Diaby is still out long-term as are Wilshere and Alexis.
And Unai Emery is officially brain dead … just look at his subs v Wolves.
Welcome to five years ago?
Can we bring back Kolo Toure on trial to two-foot the manager then?
Excuse me? You’re an Arsenal fan right?
Just a silly joke mate, Toure did it to Arsene on his trial at the club lol
I thought Tactics was out for the season with his moment. Maybe he’ll be back after the international break. Hopefully
Is Xhaka still ‘hurts’?
Just butt hurt.
I thought he must have had some lower leg concerns given the rate he has been moving around the pitch…
No, he’s been carrying the extra weight of an Emery on his back.
Whilst this is (from a purely footballing perspective) welcome, I’m fairly certain that this is cited along with blood red moons, planetary alignments and the breaking of seals as a portent of impending end times.
…….Martinez
…Mustafi Holding
Bellerin…….Kolasinac
…..Xhaka Willock
Pepe Smith-Rowe Saka
…… Martinelli
Vitoria 2-5 Arsenal
Bellerin and Pepe should start in the league, not tomorrow. Holding may need more time to sharpen his timing (he was just terrible in his last match).
It’s like the Jerome K Jerome book – Three Men in a Boat when he goes through the A-Z list of ailments and is disappointed to have all the conditions except 1. We must have had the record for the longest period without a fully fit squad but it’s all come to an end!!
Full squad healthy, just the manager then!
Cup performances were enjoyable but with the manager under pressure, not sure if tomorrow’s will be.
Also, what a weird timing for the EL match 3.50 pm GMT on a Wednesday!
I guess you didn’t see any of the articles about it then. They can’t play Thursday as there are 2 other clubs within a set distance (50miles I think) that play at same time (policing issue) & no match is allowed to play at same time as champions league game. Extremely stupid but unfortunately the only solution.
I actually did read the article and understand the reason but still find it a weird timing on a weekday.
I’ll have to record, stay away from internet (good test of the addiction), get back from work and watch!
Uefa really do have an overblown opinion of themselves if they think any of these points mean anything to viewing figures.
I feel sorry for the home fans forced into attending at such a time just because another team is playing up to 50 miles away. Nice for armchair viewers elsewhere in the world though – enjoy.
No injuries just wounded pride. Could be a sign that squad are not pushing themselves to the limit
Must win against an inform Leicester? There’s no way we’re winning that match with Emery in charge. We’ll be lucky to get a draw.
Not true, we’re decent against good teams
You need a new subscription on your glasses @Savage:
https://www.90min.com/posts/6439578-6-stats-that-show-how-unbelievably-abysmal-arsenal-have-been-against-the-top-six
Now add to those data a 3-1 away loss to puddles, 2-2 draw at home to sp*ds, and a 1-1 away draw to manure.
Your definition of “decent” is quite different to mine.
By decent you mean 2 points from 9 against lpool, terrible spurs and utd teams? Its a pity that that’s a decent return by your standards. It shows how far we’ve fallen.
Decent is 5 points from 9 NOT 2.
Unai Chambers out Freddy will Ozil it
Unai Emery and Chambers out
Even if Emery rotates with his two eyes on the game on Saturday, we’ll lose there. My faith in this coach has hit rock bottom; it won’t be rekindled, I’m afraid, until I have seen the back of him. Niko Kovac has just been booted by Bayern…after winning the double last season! They might look trigger-happy but that is the hallmark of a big team. Raul and co can borrow a leaf from there. I don’t like their seeming head-in-the-sand approach. Their indecision is damaging the club more than than Emery. Lacazette and Aubameyang won’t sign new contracts if things… Read more »
Of course we can’t beat Leicester, with Emery’s cluelessness. Brendan Rodgers will discipline him. And then voila! He is sacked
We’re so going to win that game and then go on some inconsistent run that keeps us barely in touch with the top 4 and have this drag on for the best part of the rest of the season [sigh]…maybe we’re destined to 20 years of Emriorcrity [sigh-sigh]
This did make me chuckle, because it will probably happen(eye roll and a triple sigh)
At least Emery is doing something right.
If our goal hadn’t been cancelled by VAR, the mood would be different. Fan politics is a fickle thing.
Savage, not to go into a fight, I honestly want your opinion – you are supporting
Emery and you think he should stay as a manager? Can you please give some arguments why is that? Besides this VAR argument as I don’t think we should have won that match besides that one situation, meaning if we played better and to our potential this one goal cancellation would be irrelevant.
*Meaning – we should not rely on one situation like that, should have played better and then this would not cost us.
It’s true, but we got away with two clear handballs that would have cost us points in other games too (one against Manure right?) so overall we have about the correct number of points – not enough!
Wrong news. The whole first team (and fanbase and backroom staff) is suffering from Emryitis.
We’ll lose 2-0 to Vitoria, then 3-0 against Leicester at the weekend. Emery will keep his job. You heard it here first.
Are we currently playing well enough to lose 3-0 to Leicester?
Arseblog have downed tools…the apathy is killing me….Emery out!
Tactics(ACL)
Team selections(ACL)
Winning mentality(knee injury, requires surgery)
Motivation(shoulder dislocation)
all out of the season
Would you rather…
we lose the next 2 fixtures and Emery gets the sack
we win the next 2 fixtures and Emery stays
Do people want Emery out so bad that they hope the Arsenal loses?
Okay… well then where was Bellerin and holding this past weekend? I would enjoy an Un-injured first team squad consisting of our best players in their best positions.
Clean bill of health! WOOT WOOT
So whats this about Tierney?

“No dicky hamstrings. No sniffles. No tweaked backs. No compound fractures. No dislocated shoulders. No fractured spines. No runny noses. No bird flu. No ebola. No migraines. No blood infections due to dodgy tattoos. No ACL problems. No medial ligament issues. Nothing.”
Granit Xhaka- Blown head gasket
Strange, I’ve just been reading that Tierney has an ‘ongoing issue’, hence not selected for Scotland quad.
Strange, I’ve just been reading that Tierney has an ‘ongoing issue’, hence not selected for Scotland squad.
Don’t know why anyone would expect anything to be ‘rectified’ at present time. The bigger picture is we are still in 5th and although we have been poor by any matrix, we are still at the moment competitive toward a 4th spot finish or better. Good enough? Probably not but I don’t think creating more panic at this point and forcing ourselves to adapt to more change is a good thing. Unai’s contract runs out at end of season. Unless you are in habit of crisis manufacturing which too many Arsenal fans are often prey to, it would seem the… Read more »
As far as squad is concern, I think Unai’s problem is how to hold midfield. We do not have a balance at the moment. He tried to throw in a midfield diamond to better support Ozil and keep intensity with Torreira-Guendouz- Cebellos, but we still struggled for any form of control or fluency. If we throw Pepe on into a 4-2-3-1, it is questionable if a midfield duo of Torreira and Guendouzi will be sufficient with Ozil pressing in the hole. But it may be our best bet pending of course the unpopular (but probably sane) move of slotting Granit… Read more »
Emery Is not serious in top four challenge…I see arsenal dropping back to Europa again…Yes the players are struggling very hard emery…we demand defensive action right away with no excuses.
Fantastic news, 50 years since last time we didn’t have injuries. Which means that Emery and his team are taking good care of our players.
This is the only area where we were improved under MRI. We have less injuries. This is great news actually.
Can’t read this without thinking back 5 years… we might have won the league if we’d had a few less injuries back then. Oh the ones that got away
An injury-free Arsenal squad… rare as hen’s teeth, solar eclipses over my house and Tottenham winning a trophy.
