Sp*rs 2-1 Arsenal – player ratings

Arsenal’s five game unbeaten run came to an end at White Hart Lane today, as a late Toby Alkaseltzer goal gave Sp*rs a 2-1 win.

Alexandre Lacazette put us in front with a thunderous drive in the 17th minute, but that was undone inside 2 minutes thanks to a dreadful Sead Kolasinac pass which left David Luiz in a difficult situation with Son that he couldn’t deal with.

Arsenal did hit the bar in the second half through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and had plenty of possession, but were sucker punched by a Jose Mourinho team which obviously leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth.

Here’s how the players rated this evening.

Well, I presume that will end the discussion about a contract extension for Mustafi! Bad Skodran returned with a vengeance today.

Heavenly Chapecoense

People go Mustafi blah blah blah but what about the striker or midfielder who was sloppy in losing the ball and not getting it back?

WellArsed

Name a striker or midfielder who turned in a worse performance today than Mustafi – who’s sole reason for existence (in the Arsenal squad) is to defend.

Leon

Mustafi’s only point is to…
Actually, there is no point to him…

Cultured Determination

there’s also a very high chance we end up with no points in the games that he plays. if i were one of his teammates i’d take a sick leave or fake an injury during warm up if i see his name on the team sheet, cos i know i’m going to sweat, have to take a shower, endure muscular sores from the running, and end up with the same result – ZERO points.

Martin

Kolasinac was far worse.

Raymond Mengezi

That wasn’t a surprise for me, he has been making those awful back passes for long, the difference is this time around he made that awful. Pass when a son was close, that is it….

Frank

Blame the strikers and midfielders all you want, and true, they could have done more, but a defenders whole purpose is those moments and the class of a good one is when you can deal with them

The Arsenal

This attitude is why we are where we are. Too forgiving and not demanding enough. Is it too much to ask for no mistakes for longer than 3 games for a professional. Mustafi is just one big factor in a major crisis all around the pitch. Still needs addressing.

Heavenly Chapecoense

Van Dyke and Koulibaly will improve our side but still look bad in lot of games.

jfmgunner

Exactly. That doesn’t mean if Sterling or Mane pulls off a move and beats our defender we throw a fit, it just means we should rarely if ever lose a game because of a goal we literally serve to the opponents on a platter. 4 pks given away by Luiz, Kola literally incapable of passing, Mustafi always with a costly mistake just waiting to happen, it’s just too much. When this happens at the top clubs those CB’s just disappear. Think of Lovren, Mangala, Stones, Savic, Smalling. Those guys flopped and they were just benched or sold. No sympathy, no… Read more »

Dave cee

I.m not sure anyone is pretending they will turn it around. They just happen to be all we have got at the moment. And with probably not a lot of money to spend we may still need 1 or 2 of them. It’s an unfortunate reality

Chamakhyungpark

Chambers – Saliba, Holding >>>Mustafi – Luiz – Kola

Seriously though our defenders are laughable. Just awful.

thw14

Re the bonus rating – is Holding available? If Holding’s fit to play and not playing, that’s just mental. Luiz and Mustafi is a match made in hell.

DaDude

He was on the bench today, so I guess he would have been available.

J dog

Kola must be playing as he is left footed and mikel doesn’t want 3 right footed centre backs, we know we is keen on mari and I think he feels 3 right footers won’t allow us to open up the pitch. Saying that I would prefer holding to play

Hurensohn

Holding has been bad in his last few games. Not a criticism per say, he’s not back to full fitness yet.. As much as Kola isn’t great on the ball, he rarely does something as bad as that.

Timorous Me

He hadn’t been at his top level, but he sure as hell wasn’t making any major mistakes like Kolasinac did today. I really don’t know what Kola adds to the team other than a left foot.

Raymond Mengezi

Kola is suicide, 80% of his back passes are very careless in all games, how can you leave a CMs very free and rush the ball the ball to the CBs, I doubt if that is a tacticle move by Mikel, kola does that so many times, and also he just carelessly loses the ball to the opponents at these weird positions and then he just runs back instead of at least fouling the opponent…. ?

Holdini

If in doubt hoof it.. or send an iffy pass backwards with a striker lurking.

jfmgunner

My only concern is Arteta is inflating his ego thinking he was such a CB whisperer that he reformed Mustafi and Luiz so now he wants to prove what a miracle-worker he is by rehabbing these thrift-store bargains and always playing them. It’s all well and good when there are no other options but I hope he is clear and sober about just how awful the 3 CB’s on the pitch today really are and is working on a solution.

Dave cee

Thrift store bargain? Musti cost 35M!!!! Just think of that! 4 years ago we paid 35M for him. What the fuck were Arsene and Gazidis thinking?!
Guillem Balague when asked about the transfer on the day it was announced said “he is not good enough for Arsenal” Our record defensive signing dismissed by Sky’s Spanish footie expert as not good enough before he had even arrived in London. Who the fuck was doing the scouting?

Dan P

What frustrates me is Rob Holding played a few good games and he was immediately dropped and even Kolasinic who cannot defend or pass plays ahead of him at LCB. As for Mustafi, yes he’s improved but we know already he’s just an average CB. At best keep him next year as back up unless we get a good offer for him, but there should not even be any mention of a new contract again. We need ruthless decisions this summer and get rid of all the players that are not to the Arsenal level.

IamaGoober

I am so worried its already been boxed off and he’s signed it, and we’re doing the old classic ‘wait until he’s played a good game to announce it,’ kind of thing — which would be disgraceful. There’s nothing more to be said at all, he just has to be sold in the summer. But today’s game really highlighted how bad some players are. Like I dont understand how Kolasinac gets minutes for us. Do we not have anyone else? Do we have to play a back 3 to accommodate such a truly awful player. And I still cant believe we… Read more »

Riku

Name a team that will buy him and pay him 80k a week pls imo both mustsfi and kola 150k a week will see out contracts

loose_cannon

If Holding can’t get in ahead of those three…

Tomaury Bischfeld

But Mustafi’s overhead kick though…can we rename him Mustafinho and give him Ozil’s 10?

Holdini

Actually he may win the ball high up the pitch, his passing isn’t bad and he will be far away from out goal. Let’s do this.

Vivooty

We Arsenal fans are looking for scapegoats.Once we get a scape goat we harrass him until he leaves the club on a pittance also causing financial losses to the club.We are targeting Mustafi when the worst performer was Kolasinac and Luiz was equally culpable. Mustafi is not good when attackers are provided with lots of space. He is good when there is not much space. He was good up and until 60 minutes after which Spurs conceded posession drawing out out our midfielders and wingbacks into their territory and counter attacking with pace as they know they are not good at tracking… Read more »

John Lavery

Just a suggestion to the Arsenal scouts, Bournemouth may go down this year and they have a player called Ake who is at least twice as good as any in the Arsenal central defence. Can anyone name a better player that is gettable?

Kostas

Medley

A Different George

This is a serious attempt to judge Mustafi. As Blogs concedes, he was quite good in the first hour. He is very good at aerial duals, he clears the ball well, he has a good passing range and see the game well when he is on the ball. The last half hour was awful, mostly fairly high up, when he chose to attempt a tackle too early instead of running back. This was the first time since Arteta arrived that he looked panicky (I don’t mean he’s made no mistakes), the way he did last year.

Cklcrio

I’d say 7 is a bit too generous for Bellerin, he was solid defensively but going forward he’s nowhere near the Bellerin we knew, and he was slightly at fault for the second goal, being out of position. I’d say a 6 for him

Mick Malthouse

Massive Bellerin fan but he is not the player he was. If your best asset is pace then funking use it and get in behind the defence. Stop passing backwards!!

David Hilliers Arm Cast

He lost the ball constantly, I though the rating was much too high for him.

The Arsenal

Bellerin has been awful for a while but he also has had two damaging knee injuries. The worst type of injury a pro can get. Its easier to heal from a bone break than cruciate or anterior muscle injuries.

A Different George

I thought he was much better than others; ran past Davies at will, several good deliveries into dangerous areas. I think he is part of the future core of the team (with Tierney, Pepe, Saka, Martinelli, probably Eddie–and hopefully Saliba, who I have hardly ever seen play).

Trevor

Don’t agree at all I think he’s looking good – has lost some weight and seems much better. I’d keep him. Keep Leno Martinez bellerin tierney Mari holding Saka torreira willock ceballos nelson martinelli nketiah. Sell the rest.

GUN

I have never understood what Willock and Nelson offers to the team other than the home grown status.

Rooben

Yep

Reality check

Agree. Hector stifled Pepe’s game today and he’s been doing that for a few games now I’ve noticed. He just refuses to link up with the forwards, cuts in almost all of the time or passes back. As a WB he should look to go towards the touch line more to make space for Pepe or whoever is playing ahead of him.

COYG1001

Agree. He has speed, can defend, can sometimes cross, but his passing range and ability / willingness to link with Pepe — dangerously poor.

Ozillator

Kane and Son are world class.
I’m Arsenal thro and thro……..but I’m also honest……..you need top class defenders to live in their world.

Robh

Bournemouth held them to zero shots on target a few days ago.

BillyKrystal

I loathe Son. I don’t know why he’s not as big a cunt as Kane but my skin crawls when I watch him.

Dave cee

I love Son, wish he was playing for us

Vivooty

He is the best player for Tottenham recently….

Zack

If Kane had any legs left he’d have scored two or three today. He’s well past it.

A Different George

I honestly thought Kane was awful yesterday; he looked awful against Bournmouth. Since I am an Arsenal supporter, I would say he is crap. Objectively, I am reasonably sure he is not fit.

Tomaury Bischfeld

It’s good to see the side creating chances – a few months ago that just wasn’t happening at all. We’re keeping the ball and winning it back – if we had converted chances we had things may have gone differently. I think there were positives from today but Kolasinac’s mistake was just stupid, Luiz didn’t do enough to get back and Alderweireld shouldn’t have had that header. I think these are issues to do with the individual quality of players who need to be replaced, but despite the frustrating defeat, I am enjoying watching Arsenal alot more these days.

David Hilliers Arm Cast

So you didn’t watch the second half today then?

J dog

What chances? Didn’t get in behind once, loom at the xg we were poor, sterile possession

Trevor

I agree. I like the way we play under Arteta. Things are looking up. Big summer clear out of the prima donnas and give the young players a go.

karl

I can’t stand watching Auba making pointless runs while the rest of the team play negative horseshoe football. Nobody wants to move forward and it cost us on their first goal.

Jo Jeffery

Tierney too was getting in good positions only for Kola to pass it back.

Edzo

We are so desperate for a carzola or a healthy rosicky player.

Martin

Cazorla

Jo Jeffery

Miss them so much. Ramsey too.

prvhc

Arteta – 3/10
His team selection and in-game management have again cost us today.
How is Holding being kept out of the team by Kolasinac ?
Andrew it’s high time you added a rating for the Manager as well.

Jo Jeffery

I agree, plus I assume he agreed to the Luiz extension. The guy was poor again and showed lack of leadership leaving Tierney exposed for the second goal. If this is the future he’s ok with it’s depressing.

Anders Limpar

The luiz extension is a mixture of Raul Edu and Joorabchian. While he said the right things publiclyI don’t think Mikel had the casting vote

prvhc

But he continues to play Luiz in the team, even changing the team’s formation to play to his strengths.
If he didn’t want Luiz playing in the team, there’s one very simple way to indicate that, dropping him ! He hasn’t done that has he ?

Anders Limpar

I totally agree with you

COYG1001

So do I. Slow. Can’t head or jump. Best thing he did today was help concede a goal … and avoid a red card.

A Different George

Two points: (1) As long as I’ve read these player ratings, people have asked to add a manager rating, and Blogs has said no. So, please stop asking.

(2) I love Holding’s spirit, but he has not looked very good since he came back (and was never quite as good as supporters want to believe–he’s English, you know). Do you really think Arteta would keep him out if he impressed in training?

Oziliam

I think people was fine..our only threat going forward…made runs dat were denied by bellerin..
I think Cedric can do better at right back..
Cedric can shoot better ,, can make better decisions
And i have one question..wat does xhaka really offer us??
An improved xhaka is just one without errors..
Torreira can offer more..
He’s a better tackler.. a better presser,, he has an eye for for goal nd can contribute more our attack..
He’s a better defender nd a better attacker than xhaka..
If we actually want to move forward…we have to get rid of xhaka

JohnArsenal

We will but it will take a 1-2 year. Xhaka still offers a lot on ball and pick out long passes. And right now both Dani and Xhaka are probably told to sit right in front of defence.

Cklcrio

I’ve gotta say though, Xhaka’s passing range has gone down severely, I speculated that this could be because he is being told to focus on his defensive side, but then again he’s not really a very proficient tackler either. Right now he’s putting in 6/10 performances every game (bar Norwich)

Zack

Xhaka is about as mobile as a walrus on sandpaper, which is an egregious problem to have when you play a two man midfield

Almunia4Pires

When Rob Holding plays he’s as average as the rest of our central defenders. We need at least two proper central defenders to build from.

Anders Limpar

Fair enough he’s no Maldini, but he’s better than Kola and he’s less error prone than the other two. We need new CBs without doubt, but until the end of the season Holding should be playing above arguably all 3 of today’s starters

Almunia4Pires

I don’t disagree that Holding deserved to play more this season. However has he really convinced you he’s the commanding, ball-playing CB we desperately need in the long run?

Anders Limpar

No he hasn’t. He’s the ideal back up squad player who should be on the bench. The fact that I’d rather he started over any of the 3 that did says a lot.

Jalex

I heard he’s at least better than Cannavaro

Hurensohn

Holding has looked like a player returning from a long term injury in his last few games.. and the players out their have done alright of late, hindsight is 20/20.

Anders Limpar

0/10 for Arteta and his coaching staff today. Yes we need to give him time. Yes he has inherited these players. Yes he is inexperienced and on the whole has bought many positives to the club and dressing room in a very short time. However, it was glaring obvious after about 20 minutes that the personnel in the back 3 weren’t right. We had an ineffectual left back playing with a brainfart Luiz and a mentally shaky Mustafi. At the same time we had options in this position on the bench as well as Xhaka who is capable in a… Read more »

Mikimost

Why would you put the error prone Xhaka into a back 3 with the error prone Luiz and the error prone Mustafi??

Anders Limpar

Fair point and I did think that after I posted, but in the context of todays game only, I think I would have,

A Different George

And who would you have playing in the midfield? As part of a midfield two, remember. Cebellos with Torreira? With Willock?

Naked Cygan

We are lucky we played against a really sh!t team today, otherwise it could have been worse. Some of the worst passing I have ever seen, especially in the first 10 min. You would think they would be up for a match against sp*rs. We gave away the ball so many times with no pressure on us. Disgusting performance. Players should be ashamed. Any donkey can keep passing the ball left, right, right, left, side to side and back..

Udgooner

Yeap. Absolute shite. Unacceptable from that back three. Take them out and we instantly become a better team. So fucking frustating.

Trevor

Don’t agree. Have you watched us in the last 5 years? I thought we played pretty well. It’s good to see us actually hold onto the ball better. We created some decent chances against a very defensive team. Our Central defenders are shite but we knew that.

Naked Cygan

I have watched us the last 23 years. 5 years ago we were fighting for top 4. How do you define improvement? Holding on to the ball is nothing special.

Jack

All of the defenders and Xhaka are determined to pass backwards or sideways. Even with an easy option in front, they will turn around and go backwards. So infuriating

Carlos

That’s god damn Emery ball. I started seeing that more and more with him, and it looks like that fear is stuck with the players. Infuriating indeed.

Mikey

We do really suck at playing attractive football.

JohnArsenal

F*ck, there goes European football. To be fair, players look jaded. I wish we had some fresh legs, Martinelli or somebody. Look i know you guys need Dayot Upamecano and partey in one summer but with funds tied on pepe’s deal and this arsenal, it won’t happen. Look at man city, utd, chelsea struggling for good center-halves and they even have money to spend. And you can’t change every player in the transfer market. Look at Lovren, he is still there in Liverpool after 8 years. It takes time, money and right deals. Arteta needs time and 4-5 windows where… Read more »

Heavenly Chapecoense

The weak defensive display should be shared among the entire team and even the manager playing a game he doesn’t have the right players for. Pépé for instance loses the ball a lot and does little to get it back. Everybody goes forward to build the attack and when they lose the ball, the defenders look bad, not fair to them.

goonshow

Agreed – but, and I never thought I’d be saying this as the guy who coined the nick ‘Mustuff-up’, he was NOT at fault for either goal: Kola (who has slid into a large hole in since lockdown) made a pathetic back-pass for their first; and Tierney didn’t even try to jump against Aldeweireld for their second. Musta had a decent hour or so and then looked tired and made some errors, but – BLOGS – nothing like the clangers he was dropping early season! He continued to win almost every aerial battle he was in, unlike any of our… Read more »

Voldemort

To be fair, most of are players are average at best. Auba in a better team will always get you goals .
Bar one or 2 others we are bang average with very little character.
A team and a club going nowhere fast whilst the other clubs continue to pull further and further away from us.

Anders Limpar

I imagine you will be down voted as the truth hurts (especially after loosing to those bastards), but sadly you are bang on with your analysis.

DannyGoons

Law of averages dictate that if you allow shaky defenders to have 17000 passes a game they will make several bad ones in bad spots. Even mourinho can see that…maybe let our attackers, who must have left the field after 90 without breaking a sweat, Chase and pressure and fight and reduce that pass total to 2000. Kolasinac and mustafi don’t even look forward when they get it in the middle third, and that’s coached.

HantAl

Based on the last few games I’d be hard pushed to fill a five a side team with this lot

OnlyBeingHonest

The match is what it is, too many players not good enough for the club cost us points week after week, sick of it, drags down every good player at the clib

Kolasinac

That triple substitution towards the end of the matches doesn´t look too effective, they just don´t have enough time and momentum to change the game. Why to hold them back for so long and not to bring some of them sooner. The other day I praised Arteta for his subs but sometimes it is a bit of a head scratcher. Also please start Holding or Medley, it cannot be worse.

BrazilianGooner

I’m sure most won’t agree but how is Lacazette rated soo poorly!?!? If Lacazette had missed the chances Auba did fans would be SCREAMING for him to be sold. Lacazette scored a banger and set up Pepe and Auba by dropping deep to free up space. I want Auba to sign da ting just like everyone else but he really should of had at least 2 goals and people b*tch that he doesn’t play through the center but he still had chances and didn’t finish. Overall I’m just pissed we lost to sp*rs!!!! Also really don’t understand why Holding doesn’t… Read more »

Laca has been the sacapegoat of choice all season. He has been poor and his form has been terrible, but no worse then most of the squad.

loose_cannon

In the Mustafi article I mentioned that one of the reasons he, Luiz and, to a lesser extent, Kolasinic looked more comfortable was because of Arteta’s change in formation and emphasis. We were playing deeper, more compact defensively and with a back 5 without the ball. None of them are good enough to play as a partnership, and definitely not for a team that wants to play attacking football. But that comes at a cost going forward and that’s why we’ve also seen constant back passes, inconsistent pressing and a lack of movement in midfield. Today we managed to get… Read more »

Pep Arteta

One bad performance… Sell mustafi… Arsenal fans are terrible losers

Pep Arteta

Progress is not a straight line graph.. people got to understand this..

Leon

This is true.
But neither is it a lack of progression or regression into previous behaviours.
I see improvements but like I said its often overshadowed by mediocrity.
Arsenal need to move these players on and rebuild..

Anders Limpar

One bad performance???? You watched Mustafi at all in the last 3 years? He’s probably joined his very own Premier League 100 club for shite performances

Santori

Hardly even worth rating today’s performance. We look OVERLY cautious and sloppy. I did not feel some of the players were that worried, more looking to transfer window. League is over. We have struggled with Arteta and failed to carry higher than 9th in midtable. and we will be shelld out now with some of the ‘better players’ prey to poaching. nor do I have confidence we will spend incisively. 1) Emiliano – One of our bright spots. Some good saves again to keep us in it. At very least, he has stepped up in Leno’s absence and taken his… Read more »

Lacezette deserves better rating .
Why is Tirnery picking up Alderwoman on the corner. He should be on the post.
Have we change from a zonal marking , under Arteta,?

Commentor just said would rather see Holding and Sokrates. Than mustsfi and kola.
I think Arteta plays them as he knows they will be there next year.
But there is more chance we can sell holding and Sokrates.
Imo mustsfi and kola , are on big wages and see them run out their contracts

Essex Gooner

I’m all in with Arteta but cannot understand why Rob Holding is frozen out. In favour of Kolasinac.. really?

Anders Limpar

Ditto. I guess it’s a training/attitude issue given the way he has (correctly) dealt with douzi, ozil, amn and others

Hi-Jay

Maybe he really wants a left-footed guy there.

And Kolasinac made that through ball to Son with his left foot..

Hi-Jay

*his right foot.

The Arsenal

Dont want to see Mustafi or Kola here next season. I wish them well but its time to say goodbye. This club must get ruthless or we will become Leeds. I could understand the contract for Luiz anyone who knows anything in football knows what he does behind the scenes read a really good interview with Karen Cairney which made me understand why the club was eager to keep him at least another year. But these two have no use or value.

Oziliam

If we don’t keep ceballos watever it costs.. it shows we are an unserious team

Gunner Up North

4/10 for Kolasinac is very generous in my opinion. The guy is awful in that position. How he gets in ahead of Holding or even Sokratis is beyond me. Why on Earth did he turn and play the ball backwards for their first goal when he had space and options in front of him? All he seems to do is go sidewards or backwards as soon as he gets the ball. Rarely seems to have a look what he’s got in front of him. Makes me wonder what he’s being told to do by Arteta.

My Arse-nal

He’s got to be told to do this, surely. He always used to look to get forward and always looked to take players on down the wing. Arteta must have told him to no longer do this to try to keep the defensive shape with a back 3. It’s a shame because that was his biggest asset in going forward. Now he just pays too safe and it slows things down.

Marco

Fair point made my fellow supporter . When Kolasinac has the ball at his feet it’s like someone has rolled him an hand grenade.

Almunia4Pires

Kola plays because you need at least one left-footed CB when you play three at the back. Just like Nacho Monreal used to get games there even though he wasn’t really a CB. You replace Kola with Holding or Sokratis and you end up with three right-footed CBs which is not ideal.

Edzo

I wish this performance by Mustafi ended the discussion about a contract extension for Mustafi, but Luiz got an extension after giving up a goal, then a pen and a red. And for basically being lousy. All players make mistakes but we do it in bunches. 21 points dropped from winning positions tells Kronke where we should buy, but sloppy defense, blundererous mistakes have not prompted us to buy defensive superstars in the past so not holding my breath. I dare not think what happens to this club if Auba, ceballos and Laca depart. I can’t see saka staying for… Read more »

Once again we pay the price for having clowns in our team. We’re probably the only club in the world that’s so generous when it comes to these clowns. They play dog shite for 4 years, a few good games and we want to hand out contracts to them. We will never get out of this loser attitude, and I mean LOSER attitude, until we get rid of the losers. Agree Blogs about Kolasinac future. How can a stout man who has no problem taking on knife wielding carjackers look like a doe caught in the headlights? I would at least have seen the better pass or taken a foul. To quote Blogs, “FFS!”.

Ray from Norfolk, Virginia

I think that we should have a “not applicable” option for players who do not feature for long enough. Giving them a zero out of ten is not a good idea.

jfmgunner

One thing I hope doesn’t happen: Because Arteta has done an admirable job getting much more out of players who were severely out of form (Xhaka, Mustafi, Ceballos), he might want to prove how good he is at rehabilitating players and keep starting them. I’m happy he was able to coach Mustafi and simplify his role, but he should not delude himself and think he can work miracles. Any gains he makes will never wipe out the fact that all 3 of thoses CB’s today are error prone. Imagine what he could do coaching and nurturing better players. I’m already… Read more »

Largely agree – but too many on this forum are wont to look at our back 3/4 in isolation. Problems have always begun in our midfield (back to when we lost Santi) and, once again today, we saw Hector go AWOL 2nd half. It’s no accident that Musta’s last 30 mins shit-show coincided with Hector tiring and leaving him to handle one of the PL best strikers one-on-one!

COYG1001

Ceballos gave the ball away today. Kolasinac and Luis conspired to give up a humiliating equalizer, but the focus is on Mustafi, who is probably the only one of today’s starters who will be a regular next year.

COYG1001

Luiz

BobWIll

Until we get 2 decent CB we will always struggle. Despite dominating possession we were lucky not to concede 4. Tough to watch week after week

We Arsenalled It Again

I felt that we were mostly in control for large parts of the match. However, as long as our defense is built on quick sand, we will struggle in these games. I hope Arteta can rebuild from the back during the summer. For my money the bright spot was Dani Ceballos. He seems to be our metronome.

goonshow

How much of the dark stuff before doing today’s ratings Blogs? Bellerin rated above Laca??? Laca scored a stonker, chased his butt off pressurising and his hold-up play was also at least a 7 (the goal was an 8.5 at least).
Hector looked a little more like his old self but still way too many of his default back-passes, even when Pepe was trying to make space…

The Arsenal

All Tottenham did was the amazing tactic of having two men up top and it was enough to turn these idiots into the 3 stooges. That contract they apparently have in the pipeline for Mustafi better have been burned today on the basis of that last 25 mins alone. Kola needs to fuck off with Ozil. I wish them good luck in there futures but teams in this era can no longer have this type of trash hanging around.

Tanned arse

Had a suspicion it would be questioned that martinez maybe could’ve stayed up for the goal. Same comment against Brighton. I watched cech pre-emept shots and dived out of the way as they went straight down the middle 5 or 6 times and would drive me mad that all there would be was credit and no mention of sub standard keeping. What’s going on? The only other person who will question martinez for that goal this week will be Elliot on the vision podcast snd that’s because he copies everything Andrew says (great pod by the way)

Dave cee

Maybe controversial but I wouldn’t be gutted if Auba was sold this summer. Huge wages, not getting any younger and whilst he scores a lot of goals he misses a lot of very presentable chances and doesn’t offer a lot in build up play. More of an Andy Cole than a Thierry Henry. Far from our biggest problem obviously but I will scream if we bend over backwards for another star player.
Oh yeah, those centre backs, Jeez!

Raymond Mengezi
