First three Premier League games selected for TV, dates/times rescheduled

Arsenal’s first three Premier League games will be broadcast on TV in the UK and Ireland, and as such kick-off times/dates have changed.

Our season opener against Fulham on September 12th will now kick off at 12 noon, and will be live on BT Sport where the chances of Steve McManaman communicating directly with your dog via his incessant ear-piercing whining are said to be extremely high.

The following weekend we play West Ham at home, kicking off at 2pm on Sky Sports who will have fired every presenter and pundit apart from Paul Merson by then.

And we get our first Monday night football of the new season on September 28th when we travel to Anfield to take on champions Liverpool, again on Sky Sports.

There was also good news this week with a report in The Times outlining plans for all Premier League games to be broadcast for as long as fans are excluded from stadiums because of Covid.

They’re also talking about doing away with the 3pm Saturday rule, so those of us in this part of the world can watch our teams.

Liverpool away on a bloody Monday night. Who comes up with this nonsense?

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

There’ll be no fans attending anyway

Bossman Bill

It has to be the worst match slot of the weekend. But for once it doesn’t negatively affect the fans at least.

Brutal ?

Would you rather look at Phil Thompson or Alex Scott? ?

Cheeky…

A chance to see the first three outings of new look Arsenal (hopefully) in glorious colour … does it get any better? Now all we’ve got to do is win the games.

Honestly it’s about they they scrap the 3pm rule all together… I get why they implemented it but that was back in the 60’s. Will it affect attendance if they scrap it, probably not…hell I would love individual clubs stream the matches them selves, I would gladly pay to watch the games on Arsenal [dot] com so I dont have to hear fucking hear Graeme Souness being a sour ball root

CoNr

in my anger at having flash backs of listening to Graeme Souness I clearly lost my ability to type and form coherent sentences… sorry lol

Richie

9 points.

I like the fact that The Arsenal’s first three games are on TV. Big club.
