I think the Dundalk vs Arsenal game will be played at the Aviva not at the Oriel Park.

Arteta-tinted Glasses

Quite a good group this, nice places to go, not too far. Hopefully, the likes of Nelson, Smith-Rowe, Willock can find some form here.

I’m not always the biggest fan of the Europa League, but it’s draws like this which reminds me how great football is. Such a shame covid will stop fans being at the stadiums.

Dundalk’s stadium capacity: 3.100

Population of Dundalk metropolitan area: 55,806

Emirates stadium capacity: 60,260

Biggles

Yes, it’s a bummer. Still, they can marvel at The Emirates from afar and imagine the rest.

Naked Cygan

Football without fans is like having fish & chips, but they don’t give you the chips.

Dundalk have already confirmed last night on their Twitter that their games will be played at the Aviva stadium (called Dublin Arena as per UEFA’s non-sponsorship rules).

Being the last game of the group we will surely send over a skeleton squad. I’m expecting Ozil, Guendouzi, Saliba, Smith-Rowe, Rami Shaaban, Christopher Wreh, Igor Stepanovs, and Yaya Sanogo.

Jack

Oh 5.55pm how I’ve missed you! looks like I’ll be having to tell work I’ve got dentist appointments on those days and need to leave early

Bill Door

Will there be any fans allowed at the Aviva?

Pune Gooner

I think Saliba will certainly play in this games if he stays with us.

Also good chance for our youngsters with good rest to our senior squad.

Can also work for fitness for our injured returning pla

noel

hope fans will be allowed in to a degree so blogs can do the liveblog from the stadium

allezkev

What is the capacity of the Aviva?

And is it a new stadium or is it a rebuilt Lansdowne Road, excuse my ignorance?

Belfast Gooner

It’s a relatively new stadium built on the lansdowne Road site. Must be around 10 years old now. Been down to it a few times. Last time was a couple of years ago when we beat Chelsea on pens in a pre season friendly.

We are winning the Europa League! Pls mark it that I predicted so!

Don Cazorleone

My girlfriend is Austrian and my birthday is 23rd Oct. This game against Vienna would have been perfect.
Cunting covid.

Leon

The excitement of playing such a prestigious competition.
Vienna, Mouldy and Feckin’ Dundalk.
A week to rest players for league games or the opportunity to play a competition that has absolutely no appeal whatsoever.
And the race for Aouer is over.
We are not going to sign anybody for all of Arteta’s big talk..

arsepedant

That’s the spirit, sunshine!
