Back in June, we relayed news of Arsenal’s interest in PSG physio Bruno Mazziotti.
It’s taken six months, but, judging by his bio on Instagram, the Brazilian has now joined the club’s medical team.
Mazziotti crossed paths with Edu at both Corinthians and the Brazil national team set-up and moves to London having spent two seasons at the Parc des Princes.
It’s not clear at this point what title Mazziotti holds. In August, the Gunners confirmed that Jordan Reece, previously head of academy physiotherapy, had taken on Chris Morgan’s duties after our former head physiotherapist returned to Liverpool.
Given Mazziotti’s previous experience, we expect to see him involved with the first team. Look out for a burly bearded bloke on the bench when we face Chelsea later this evening.
According to The Athletic’s [£] David Ornstein, the Gunners have further bolstered the medical team with Bournemouth’s first-team physio Nick Court.
Hope he speaks good English, a key part of the job is motivation
they are signing new coaches but the real thing they should do is swap manager
Not sure what to make of this. But as soon as I say Edu’s name associated with it I kind of felt uneasy to be honest. Thoughts like could this be another of Edu’s shady deals? Is the physio also represented by that dirty agent Kia? all such emerged.
Nepotism FC
I hope this guy is good, I fear as you suggest more shady nepotism.
Our once classy club has turned very shady.
yup. he better give good massages.
Welp, looks like we’re stuck with Edu beyond the short term.
Just hopefully this Physio is trained in medicine so we can ditch the approach of asking the player if they’re fit enough to play.
Nothing in this news blurb suggests that’s true.
Don’t everyone panic over the slightest nothing. This isn’t arsenal fan tv, those douchebags.
Heard he is great
He must be THE gamechanger
heard his massages are legendary. kryptonite to any muscular injuries.
all I see is people getting jobs based on their past affiliation/friendship/connection with some of Arsenal members; no scrutiny, no performance analysis just ‘Edu knows this guy”
ridiculous
He’s our new physio but he’s also our new number two goalkeeper.
Great. Can he play CAM?
Or in goal if called upon 😉
Another Edu signing. Probably as shit as Willian. He’ll give the whole squad Covid. Edu out
he looks like he can get into the team.
Looks more like a rugby player, wrt physique.
He’s gonna pump us up 😉
Love how everyone blames edu for the bad signings and no credit is given for the good ones. Nuance seems to be dead in the age of social media. Acting like all transfers a come good at every other club and no other club deals with agents. Get your righteous heads out of your own asses, it’s a business.
