You must be watching something I and vast majority of arsenal fans I know are watching.
I’m watching a team who are just off the top 4 despite having the youngest average age in the league, and a much-changed squad who need time to bed in and gel. Our form has been mixed, and I don’t agree with some of the decisions either, but we’re hardly in a disastrous spot. I once had a back and forth here about me wanting Xhaka injured, which I denied.
I’ve now changed my mind.

Am I the only one who is fine with Xhaka starting? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not his biggest fan, but he needs match fitness before Partey leaves for AFCON. If anything Sambi should be starting ahead of Partey.
This. Logic. Xhaka is sympotamtic of the mediocrity we have endured in the last 5 years but we are hardly going to buy a shiny new midfielder anytime soon to solve our problems in the midfield. Might as well get him up to speed for the tough months ahead.

He’s average at the best of times and represents everything I hate about a certain type of hypermasculine wannabe, but he’s going to play literally 100% of available minutes under this manager, and his performances are going to always be 5/10.

I would much prefer to have either Lokonga or AMN start instead of Xhaka. We rarely play good football with him in the team
This type of team is perfect to play against with a Sambi and Ainsley in the mid and a martinelli up front. Imagine having a man of the match performance against newcastle and then being dropped for 3 games in a row.
