Arsenal and Viktoria Koln have mutually agreed to prematurely end Nikolaj Moller’s season-long loan deal with the German third-tier outfit.
The 19-year-old striker, who joined the Gunners from Swedish side Malmo in 2020, has made 13 appearances this season but has mainly been used off the bench. His three goals have all come in the Mittelrheinpokal, a regional cup competition.
It remains to be seen whether Moller finds another club for the second half of the season or if he’ll simply replace Folarin Balogun in the under-23s’ attack. Balogun is widely expected to join a Championship side for the next six months.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that defender Harry Clarke had also been recalled by the Gunners. The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season with Ross County and is now set to join fellow SPL side Hibernian.
Good to see the club being proactive with loan players
Chelsea make a lot of their money from loaning out every player in their youth set up, I don’t know if it would be a good thing to follow their example but it wouldn’t hurt the arsenal bank account that’s for sure.
Bring them all back
No I’m just kidding, it’s just good to see we are more active, and earlier, with the youth.
…can we send some of them to Charlton?
Looks like Viktoria Koln are now Moller light.
Lol, does anyone watch Brooklyn 99? Then the name Nikolaj would make you chuckle
You’re saying it wrong!
