Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Burnley has been moved to Sunday January 23rd, with a kick-off time of 14.00.
It was originally scheduled to take place at 3pm on January 22nd, but because of the postponement of the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool – now taking place on Thursday January 20th, this game has been rescheduled.
The late nature of the date change will leave many fans who have arranged travel, flights, hotels etc, severely disrupted, and while these are extraordinary times and circumstances, it’s another huge disappointment for affected supporters.
The Gunners are still awaiting confirmation on when the postponed games against Wolves and Chelsea will take place.
Fixture congestion is piling up.
Unless Liverpool would like us to change that as well in case it impacts their season

It was scheduled to be on Feb 12th, but Chelsea will be playing in the club world cup that weekend.

I think this is an awful decision which doesn’t take the match going fan into account.
I travel from Belfast 4-5 times a season. Its something I really look forward too. Family circumstances dictate that I need to go and come back on the same day.
Therefore I only chose matches which mean I can fit same day flights into. What about people who will lose their flights and can’t transfer them to the next day?
Are the PL or Liverpool going to cover these costs? I think we all know the answer to that.

I don’t see any reason why the re-arranged Liverpool tie couldn’t be played on Wednesday 19th – instead of the 20th – thus eliminating the need to move this Burnley fixture.

What’s all the fuss about fixture congestion? Hasn’t anyone taken a look at the calendar? There are so many gaps in our remaining schedule that we should be happy about these rescheduled games. That’s what happens with no European matches on the horizon for us.
