I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it
Woah, woah, here we go
Saka and Emile Smith Rowe
…have been nominated by their peers for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
Between them, the Arsenal duo made 80 appearances, scored 23 goals and made nine assists.
Bukayo and Emile are nominated alongside Conor Gallagher, Phil Foden, Reece James and Jacob Murphy.
Having won the award last year and having been crowned the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year for 21/22, Foden is arguably the favourite although you could easily make a strong argument in favour of Saka who has grown in stature at both domestic and international levels.
We’ll find out who gets the gong soon enough, the winner will be announced on Thursday, 9 June. Here’s hoping one of our boys follows in the footsteps of Messrs Adams, Merson, Anelka, Fabregas and Wilshere.

Both well deserve it and I’d put them in the number 1 and 2 slots, though could be accused of being biased.
Saka has to win surely. Foden maybe but Saka has better stats and played in every game.
Foden is very good but Saka has a bigger direct impact in games.
I have noticed that among all the little articles about various awards our players have been nominated for, neither of the Andrews has mentioned that Lacazette is up for Goal of the Year. A cynic might say, “right, he scores a goal a year,” but I don’t think the award means that.
I mostly couldn’t be arsed…nothing against Laca. I just started to lose the will to live when I realised the Premier League were drip-feeding awards every hour with ever more ridiculous themes. Who cares if Lewis Dunk is going head-to-head with Craig Dawson for the “most likely to buy their mum flowers at Christmas” award.
Lewis Dunk FTW
Goal of the year went to Salah v Man City already I think
Obviously biased, but Saka has had a better individual season than Foden, and is far more important to his team. He should win it.
I really hope we give Saka a blank contract to sign for whatever he wants. I have nightmares of Klopp chattering in his ear luring him away from us as Salah’s replacement
Klopp is more likely to go for Martinelli
Only if we get 100 million and 1 Euros
Conor Gallagher should win it for not having a twitter account
I’d vote for Saka because while other young players relied on senior teammates to up their game , the boy carried the whole arsenal team from position 20 at relegation to 5th into Europa league slots
I love Saka and sincerely hope he wins the award. However it’s an exaggeration that he carried the whole Arsenal team. I think that ESR, Ødegaard, Partey, Tomiyasu, Tierney, Martinelli and Ramsdale have all played their part too
I’m in shock you didn’t include Xhaka 😂😂
As I should have done together with White and Gabriel. Thank you pointing out my mistakes
Yes it is exaggerated to say that Benzema carries Real Madrid. I think that Modric, Kroose, Vinicius all play their part too.
*Jacob Ramsey
Not Murphy
