Tomas Rosicky is hoping that Arsenal hang on to both Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas but says the club have enough ambition to replace them if necessary.
Speaking ahead of the Czech Republic’s friendly with Norway, the midfielder said “Arsenal are a giant club with big ambitions and to turn those ambitions into achievements you need to keep the best players you have and to have the strongest squad possible.
“I don’t want Fabregas or anyone else to leave. Even if that was to happen, Mr Wenger would go and get someone new.”
While the Fabregas situation appears to have gone quiet, rumours have resurfaced about Nasri’s move to Man City, with some suggestion that Arsenal would be open to letting the French international go. It seems unlikely that Wenger would let both players leave this summer so if there were truth to it, it could point to Fabregas staying at the club for the season ahead.
Their absences have provided more playing time for Rosicky and he says he’s feeling good ahead of the new campaign.
” I am fit at the moment”, he said. “I only missed two training sessions and that was because I was rested. Pre-season was very demanding and I came through it without any problems.”
Meanwhile, Steve Bould says Kyle Bartley’s loan spell last season made him a man. The strapping defender has gone on loan again this season so we can only assume he’ll come back a double-man next summer, providing the Arsenal defence with the steel it’s been missing.

He might not have the same skill as Cesc but his experience will be key if we lose him and Nasri. He’s been looking real sharp in preseason and long may it continue.

Rosicky is a decent squad player at best. The injuries wrecked his prime years with the club. If he knows his role and accepts it, he could be valuable to the Arsenal this season.
I wonder if the best years has passed sicky by…… Haven’t seen him have a great league game in so long , and I think Viera was playing alongside him lol
