Hull City have confirmed the loan move for Isaac Hayden for the 2015/16 season.
The 20 year old will play under the tutelage of Steve Bruce in the Championship as they look to bounce back after relegation from the Premier League last season.
Speaking to their official site, Hayden said, “I’m very pleased and very excited. It’s exactly what I need at this stage of my career.
“The manager has been great with me and I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the lads – I can’t wait to get started now.
“This club is an ambitious one, so to be part of this is a great opportunity – it’s a chance for me to prove myself. I’m very excited for the season ahead.”
And it looks like he might not be alone there, with Chuba Akpom tipped to join him on a season long deal also.
Good luck Hayden, Is this means that Flam will stay ?
No, it means nothing as far as Monsieur Flamini’s status at the club is concerned. One is a player in need of regular playing time while the other is a player at the end of his career.
Monsieur Flamini’s departure will happen when it happens. More likely when we get an able replacement for Coquelin.
He loves a Bosman our Flamini.
Good quoting of Theo there
I hope all our young gunners get first team action this season. Especially Joel Campbell. I think it’s crunch time for him.
Tbh id let them take akpom too and flamini if they like, free up some space for a coq competitor, theres a little dead wood in our otherwise excellent squad I think.
Will have to keep an eye on Hull City especially if Akpom joins too. The little I’ve seen of Hayden has been impressive, I think he’s got the potential to be a future first team regular at Arsenal, Good luck lad.
AS long as he get the playing time needed for his development, arsenal only can win from this situation. Akpom would also have a chance to grow in a very competitive league, establish themselves at hull and they can play in any team
BC we have retained Arteta, there is a bigger possibility we will also retain Flamini. Again, he is a much better player than many give him credit for. His faults are amplified and Coquelin’s overlooked by people who prefer to use it as a narrative for their pet dream in getting a new DM. We may get a new DM this season bc both Arteta and Flamini being older, it may make it easier to rejuvenate the area next summer, but don;t expect your tall big Cback type in Melo or Mvilla etc none of whom have fulfilled lofty promises… Read more »
Brucey bit chummy with the gaffer of late.:D
Good luck to Hayden. I’ve always liked Steve Bruce as well; very complimentary of Arsene.
Also reminds me of Santa Claus.
Or a medieval Senator of the Roman Empire.
Been a huge fan of Isaac Hayden for a few years now (Since they made Arsenal’s U19 team made the semifinal of the CL next generation series 3 years ago). He’s a huge talent, tackles well, has great size, is good on the ball, and a good passer basically exactly what we’re missing in midfield at times. Personally I rate Hayden so highly I have no doubt had he not gotten injured badly last December it would be Hayden we’re talking about now & not Coquelin. Either way good luck to Hayden at Hull, I think It’s the best possible… Read more »
