Report: 17 year old Hull City left-back linked

The Mirror report this morning that Arsenal are set to ‘battle’ Everton in order to ‘swoop’ for Hull City ‘wonderkid’ Josh Tymon.

The 17 year old left back has apparently caught the eye of Arsene Wenger and Ronald Koeman, with both managers set to make a January move. Apparently.

He becomes the latest in a series of left-backs linked with the club over the last 12 months with the likes of Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg), Ben Chilwell (Leicester), Kieran Tierney (Celtic), Raphael Guerreiro (Lorient) and Noah Existe (Malaga) all said to be under the watchful eye of the Arsenal scouts.

Tymon has made just four first team appearances at this point, so it seems unlikely he’d be anything other than one for the future, even if it seems fairly clear this is a position that the manager is keen on improving.

Still, with the transfer window a long way from opening just yet, we’re not going to worry about it too much, although we will give the poo-o-meter a run out just to keep it ticking over.

Papas

Carll

I watch a lot of youth team football and this guy is ‘top top quality’. Oh wait, no I don’t. Tymon is a pretty decent name though. Add some more Tymon please ref! Ha…

tapps

If we want to sign him, I’m sure we’ll have Tymon our side. Yep, it’s hanging up on the back of the door.

Papas

imagine we play against Olympiakos or some other Greek team…he would be our Tymon of Athens…what’s that? no, no coat just a hat…

Crash Fistfight

Damn you, with your knowledge of classical literature – we don’t like your kind round here.

Sideshow Mo

Anybody seen Pumbaa?

Hearing rumours of a bid for Australian youngster Iam Noone.

MeSoHornsey

Not sure about this one.

These tabloid back page reporters have got way too much Tymon their hands.

There should be a song about them.
Slow news day isn’t it.

Papas

Blogs, did you make up Noah Existe or does he really exist? what an awesome pair it would be: Tymon the Athenian and Noah Existe…would give Mike Dean nightmares just to stand on the pitch with these two…

Douche Trooper

Blud. I want Whinga out, Blud. Look at at me, Blud. Dis my mate Fruitile, Blud. You need furniture moved, hit him up, Blud. You can’t play Sanchez up front, Blud.

Crash Fistfight

There’s not enough fams and ham rolls in this for it to be realistic.

Obi 1 Iwobi

ahem – Guerreiro was sold by Lorient last summer and he’s now tearing it with Dortmund in both the Bundesliga and CL, top player that the club was right not to pursue as he was never going to replace Monreal straight away….and you don’t buy a fresh Euros winner to stick him as the 3rd LB and give him couple of minutes in the FA or League cups

Cliff Bastin

Sure why not

Its a shame we cant find a youngster from the academy

Rectum Spectrum

Going for youth to give Gibbs a chance at replacing Monreal?

santori

When you see Everton also ‘interested’ could be just posturing.

But you never know, we did grab Holding this last summer. And we could adds talent at Lback there at the moment.

More likely though we will need someone close to ready to go (20-23yrs). Gibbs can hold for the next 3-4 seasons as this player starts to compete.

rmpauden

He made his debut against us in the FA Cup last season and did pretty well
