Constant speculation over Ozil is not helping the man. Every pass he makes is analysed and it’s coming from pundits and Arsenal fans too. If clubs want to get serious about mental health and bullying they need to take a collective stance to combat fake news and ridiculous speculation that damages a player’s mental well-being. Fake news is not free speech and bullying is a hate crime.
Absolutely. He hasn’t been performing up to par and I don’t think his character will change even with captain’s armband. He’s who he is, a very talented player who lets negativity at times get the better of him. BUT at the moment better to have than not. And we also have Ramsey (another issue) who can challenge for that role in the number 10 behind the striker. BOTH players have similar function and are dangerous attacking the second ball. Only one way for all the noise around Ozil to go away – the man starts performing on the pitch and delivers many more glorious assists and goals in games to come!
Think Emery has done pretty well so far. We need to start grinding out the results and cannot afford to have the 3 year span of time that some media pundits would deem to suggest. Emery prob knows this too and if we want to get back on track quickly, get into the top 4 CL spots, we need to get going now not end of October.
