Ben Sheaf leaves for season long Doncaster Rovers loan

Ben Sheaf has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan for the duration of the 2019-20 season.

The versatile 21 year old will gain valuable experience with the League One side, and sounds excited about playing regular first team football.

“I’ve played at centre-back in the past couple of seasons but I was in midfield prior to that – but I enjoy either and will do my best,” he told the official Doncaster website.

“I like to get on the ball and make things happen, I’m really excited and looking forward to getting going now.

“I’m really happy to take this step up, I feel like I’m past U23s football now and this is a great opportunity to get experience in the men’s game.

“I just want to get in and settled down and know the boys, then impress the new manager.”

Best of luck to him.

I know that Nacho can play there but he’s better in a 3 man defence or playing at left back in a 4. Per has had a year off, maybe we could convince him to come out of retirement for a season? Seriously though, good… Read more »

Does Louis from One Direction still play for them?

Savage

Watched him live in the youth cup in Durban, where he won player of the tournament. Reminded me a lot of Ramsey. He’s probably not a stellar talent, but with the right opportunities he can craft a good career for himself.

He’s very accomplished techinically but isn’t blessed with much athleticism which really limits the influence he can have. But if he’s got the character to make the absolute most of what he has there’s no reason he can’t make a career in Championship to mid-table PL sides like Hayden or Lansbury have done.
