Tomas Rosicky says that Roy Hodgson’s willingness to use Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be of huge benefit to the player and to Arsenal.
The youngster was a surprise selection for England’s opening game of Euro 2012 and made a good impression during the 1-1 draw with France. Despite the fact he hasn’t yet reached 50 professional appearances, the Czech captain believes that it’s not a case of too much too soon, and hopes that Arsenal will reap the rewards.
“Of course I’m excited to see him getting his chance,” he said to a Czech newspaper which was then translated by Sky Sports. “For a boy his age it’s vital to get experience like that. So Arsenal can profit from that.
“He’s not the finished article, he has lots to learn but he is an amazing prospect and I just hope that he will work and he will grow.”
And Rosicky has no worries about him getting carried away after such a high profile introduction to international football.
“I know him, he has both feet on earth and he’s very confident. Even if you are like that, a tournament hits you anyway a little bit but that’s what you expect.”
Comparisons have been drawn between Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott’s inclusion in England’s 2006 World Cup squad, but they seem misplaced. For a start, Walcott went without even playing a first team game for the club and secondly, Oxlade-Chamberlain has already played in the tournament, something Theo never managed under Sven Goran Sony Eriksson.
It remains to be seen if The Ox’s performance means he’ll keep his place for England’s game against Sweden tomorrow evening, but if it’s a choice between him and Stewart Downing then there’s only going to be one winner. Even if the choice was between Stewart Downing and Stewart Downing I wouldn’t pick Stewart Downing.
Of course Hodgson could move Ashely Young to the left and give Theo Walcott a start on the right so there should be some Arsenal involvement.
The Ox to get his first senior international goal tomorrow, money on it.
I had us to win 2-1 vs France mate an The Ox to get the winner……Bugger!
So how much are you expecting to win?
Yeah me too. I love me a combination of ox-coq. Coq with the forward thrust, ox with the goals.
The Ox is top drawer….Only gonna get better….
Like it how on ITV they also call him The Ox 🙂
Built England around The Ox and Jack.
Thank god the Ox is no ‘Forrest’…..(theo, I mean)
*Build.
I think AOC has self-confidence and a steely temperament that makes him a very important big-game player. He actually believes in his ability, as opposed to Walcott, who needs something to happen (a goal or an assist) to spur him on and make him think, yeah, I can play some football. Case in point AOC v United (not the freak one) and Theo vs Spurs. His performance against France was among the better of the English players, which is remarkable considering he was playing in the 2nd division just a year ago. I can’t wait to see him and Jack… Read more »
Well said mate.
Jesus I hadn’t even thought about that. The Ox and Jack together… can’t wait. I hope Jack can come back to form after his season out.
if we keep them both at the club, it might help the England team out too (and I might actually start wanting them to win again).
really hope gibbs steps up next season.perhaps he doesn’t want to play with the wifeshagger and is waiting for the cunt to retire
The Little Mozart keeping Arsenal in his thoughts while playing for his country at the Euros. A legend in the making & Arsenal man for me..
Would love him to retire with the club.
Proper Arsenal man.
He wouldnt leave before Arsenal wins the league.
A fantastic purchase by Arsene.
At the price a risk but years of scouting minimised the risk (Saints tend not to get much credit, great academy set-up).
Hoping to see him play more for us.
Stewart Downing = left-footed Jimmy Carter 🙂
Downing is pure gash…..Only assist he got last season was getting Kenny Daggers the bullet!
off topic gays, but if giroud does sign, he will be no 3 in a list of three fowards we have whose primary foot is left!
Now bring in our three other major forwards…and we find their primary foot is right. Mad, it’s like a balance or something.

We built this England, we built this England on Ox and Jaaacckk!
Keep he good form up Tomas. Then the Ox can replace you in midfield when you retire an Arsenal legend!
Feed the Ox and he will score!
hopefully 1st at 14-1 😉
Heh at Sven Goran Sony Eriksson
Comparing the Feo situation to the Ox situation is indeed pointless, they are as different as John Terry and not being a complete and utter cuntbucket
speaking of rosicky, do we know how banjaxed he is from his last game?
hopefully not very
would love to see the ox score/do well but more than that for him to come back from the Euros without having been contaminated by the cuntishness of certain squad members there.
Hope he scores a hat-trick when England plays next, and Theo would sign a new contract immediately after the Euros. I love the chap, never complain about him or about the fee we paid in getting him to the grove, but felt he was a bit too young then. We all wanted stars back then, but now most of us are now praising Wenger for buying the Ox. You can’t get enough of everything in football, we fans are a little bit greedy, wanting every good players and managers available. Any ways, I love everything about AFC and all the… Read more »

LMFAO 🙂
I’m stuck between getting a jersey with Rosicky or Wilshere on the back. That shows how much I respect Rosicky. Please retire with us and become a legend. His goal celebration during that 5-2 mauling of the shites still give me goosebumbs.

ox and walcott on the score sheet goonerland 2 nil winners
Tomas=Legend in the making ox=baby legend in the making that is all…
Tomas is the guy. He is a living and breathing gunner. I absolutely love everything about this guy. He is a legend already as far as I’m concerned.
The ox and Jack are the present and future of England. Exciting times ahead, just hope all those cunts in the present England line up would be flushed out.
hey guys
Hey cunt. Heard you’re gonna be sold by the moneybags. Couldn’t be more happier. So how’s life?
Time to start supporting the ox and co now were out, trap bringing on Paul green who has no fucking team against the best midfield in the world is a joke, hope the ox starts need to see an arsenal player again bring on the new fucking season
