There may be uncertainty over who Arsenal’s first-choice right-back is at senior level, but for the U18s Brooke Norton-Cuffy has made the position his own this season.
The England youth international has produced some excellent performances as he has helped Ken Gillard’s side progress to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
Earlier in the season, when other players were unavailable, Norton-Cuffy made five appearances for the U23s, and he certainly managed to make an impact, impressing with his bursts forward as well as his diligent defending.
The vast majority of Norton-Cuffy’s game time has come for the U18s and he has worked hard to improve his positioning.
Already tied to a professional contract, the youngster, who was previously at Chelsea’s academy, will hope to gain more experience for the U23s next season, although Ryan Alebiosu is currently ahead of him in the pecking order, while Zak Swanson is closing in on a return from injury.
Norton-Cuffy, therefore, may have to be patient before he is able to become the main right-back for the U23s, but he certainly has the quality to impress at that level and perhaps beyond.

We seem to have more promising youngster coming good though it will be for nought if this crappy super league comes to fruition
Sounds an exciting prospect.
Maybe he can be break into the European Super Little Leagues squad next season, compete in the Florentino Perez Vase, or might even be included in the first team roster and come on for a quarter here or there.
In all seriousness though, we could be kicked out of involvement in the Premier League 2 as well.
There will be European U23s and U17s Super League. Youngsters playing against the top teams in Europe, won’t be a bad thing.
They already do. And the last thing 16 year olds should be doing is spending their weeks flying across Europe.
Rather than say, training or in school.
But can Norton-Cuffy do it on a warm Wednesday evening at the Nou Camp in the JP Morgan Super League?
