This one is interesting to me. I’ll be completely honest, after the 2-2 draw at home, I was seriously questioning Arteta as manager, maybe more so than at any time this season. We’d just drawn with Brighton and snuck past Norwich 1-0 at home, we were playing shit and I didn’t even really celebrate the injury time equaliser. I’m not sure if I can say it’s strange that EST starts over Martinelli when he had a little bit of an injury recently I think, I’m more concerned about Tierney. Is it serious does anyone know? And I thought Tomiyasu would at least make the bench today.

The biggest thing about Tierney on the left this season especially since Tomi has been out (injured you cretins) has been him being more reserved with Xhaka having more license to go forward. Going to need to see a much more responsible and less cavalier Tavares tonight or we’re in trouble.
Unfortunately I had a bad feeling about tonight’s game, probably because today has generally been pants, but to concede a poor goal like that!!! Mountain to climb!!!

Well Martinelli needs to come on for the second half, but for who. I’d suggest Xhaka off and play 4-1-4-1.
Xhaka was our best player tonight, every time there was a substitution he had to move position and was competent all game.
Tavares is very poor. Never watched him in the Portuguese league. Was he any good?
He’s not very disciplined, was pathetic for 1st goal. Poor free kick to give away from white as well.
