Wenger wants another 15 goal player

Arsene Wenger is, understandably, happy with the way his team are playing at the moment, but he’s still on the lookout for another player who can provide 15 goals a season.

It’s open to interpretation as to whether he thinks that will come from one his famous ‘internal solutions’ or if it’s something he’s looking to do in the transfer market, but it shows the Arsenal manager wants that little bit more from his side in order to properly challenge for the title.

Speaking after the 4-1 win over Liverpool, he touched on his striking options after Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud notched up their 20th and 18th goals of the season respectively.

“Giroud has surprised a lot of people,” he said. “It shows we missed him when he was out for four months. Laurent Koscielny was out for four months too. Mesut Özil the same. They were all out together. You can see the difference.

“I expected Aaron Ramsey to be in there as well with 10 or 15,” he continued. “We need another player who gets 10 or 15 goals but we have a good mentality and good cohesion in the team.

“There is something happening. You can see that, you can’t cheat on that, people smell that.

“It of course is a good basis, and defensively we are getting better.”

I’d like to think that player is Wellbeck, but he needs to improve his end product and have more composure. Otherwise, the transfer market may be the answer

Proff Gooner

I would say the goal and celebration at Man U-wankers is worth at least 10.

Forever COYG!!!

NYGooner

Welback has had more than adequate time in the squad to see that he is simple not that guy. He is always valuable on the pitch, working his ass off and causing headaches for opponents with his pace. But he simply misses too many chances. Clinical finishing is not something you can improve by much; either a player has it or he does not.

DialSquareGoon

Thats not true. If I recall properly, Theo used to be an average finisher… then a season or two ago, he got very clinical.

Stillmatic

Myth.
Theo was never not a clinical finisher. His finishing was always one of his strongest points. He didn’t get into shooting positions enough, and his end product (crossing was horrid), but his conversion rate was always good. It’s better, but it’s always been good.

Welbeck is very much the anti-theo; good at everything else but finishing. But Theo’s crossing improved, so nothing to say Welbeck can’t either.

But…..I still have my doubts of Welbeck.

Mertesacker's Per

Remember Ramsey in the season before last? He used to get into great positions but then fluff his shots. Look at him now. Finishing is definitely something that can be improved upon.
Welbeck gets into great positions too. Accurate shooting will come.

Bould's Eyeliner

so you’re saying being an inborn striker is just talent and only talent, there’s no way to improve scoring… gotcha..

goonslinger

Totally disagree. When he is played in his favored position (central) he is much more efficient in front of goal. I truly believe that with the bosses guidance we will have another 20 goal a season threat on our team. COYG….

dcgooner

We all heard this about Giroud for his first 2 seasons…. and now we’re seeing the results of Wengers tutelage. Giroud has scored 10 in 10 and is averaging almost a goal every 90 minutes. Van Persie said it the season before he left.. Wenger was teaching him about space, movement and calmness in front of goal. Wenger has done it with Henry, Van Persie, Giroud.. and I genuinely believe Welbeck will be next.

GoonaChris

How wrong can you be….

Giroud use to be criticized near enough every game and now has the best goals per 90 mins in the league.

Also, you reckon adequate time is 23 appearances? Most being in a wide role… hmmmmmm

Oberon

Nonsense, people said Henry wasn’t a good finisher when he first came to us and they said the same with Suarez when he first started at Liverpool. Finishing is something that can be improved, as well as ball control and positioning.

David C

good call. Also, Santi, Ox and Ramsey should probably have a few more goals between them this season. Of course, injuries have hurt the later two.

SG_Gooner

sterling? hahahah

erm….podolski? campbell? hehehe

i vote for welbeck. no need for more attacking players.

just stay fit and healthy guys.

Abhi

If theo leaves we need to replace him..but if he can convince wenger to let him stay then I think with him + welbeck + ox + Rambo + santi + Ozil we are well equipped to score enough goals for a season..we sign a quality DM and a young but potentially great CB to understudy the 3 we have already, I think I’d be happy with business

Abhi

AND wilshere..think it’s a testament to the quality in our squad right now that I forgot him that easily!

goontang

No reason why welbeck cant be that guy

TommyR7

*Dat guy

Stringer Bell

True dat

@mistercgooner

There’s plenty of players in the squad who can smash a 15 goal haul if given a run in the side: ‘the Ox’ Welbeck Walcott Rambo. Cazorla & Özil should really be scoring more from open play too!! There still room for improvement in Giroud’s & Alexis’ totals

CB

I agree, we have plenty of options in the squad and as everyone knows each other better they will score more. Buying in an outsider isn’t the answer most of the time. Alexis was fast off the blocks, far faster than most of our signings (Bergkamp, Pires as two examples), he isn’t typical and hasn’t been so prolific in the second half of the season. He will improve next season as he now knows Ozil, Ramsey and Santi far better.

Just keep the current squad together!

Az Ahmed

For me we still need that ever elusive world class striker and another DM. In addition a CB, LB and GK would be good.

Chris

If Giroud keeps this up, we won’t need a striker. I think we’re fine at left back; Gibbs is great and Monreal is in fine form. We’re maybe okay at centre back for another season, since we have four now. I do think another defensive midfielder is needed, despite how great Coquelin had been, and I think there’s probably a better goalkeeper out there than both of ours, although Ospina hasn’t done anything wrong.

Az Ahmed

Upgrade on Giroud, additional DM in case Coquelin gets injured, CB as upgrade to Mertesacker and back up to Kosc, LB in place of Gibbs, who is a liability let’s be honest, and a world class keeper like Cech. Get rid of Flamini, Diaby and possibly Arteta. would give us the required depth = Title winning team

CB

Az Ahmed – not enough thumbs down first time around!?! Gibbs, not many will agree with you about the England left back that grew up with Arsenal. Arteta signed up ’til 2016, decent player, not leaving, so unlikely to get another DM. Welbeck did well as a CF and will improve, though I understand the concerns. We have Gabriel now and Chambers as a CB in time (plus Monreal and Debuchy if desperate). I’m happy with Szcz, think he would be great if needed. See the reactions to my and Chris’s suggestions. Or keep suggesting that we need several changes… Read more »

I am looking at the season as a whole, people are looking at the team based on current form. Everyone seems to have forgotten what happened in the first half of the season. Chambers is not reliable cover at CB. Every position needs at least two players to build a proper title winning team. GK – Ospina Szcezc(?) LB – Gibbs(?) Monreal RB – Debuchy Bellerin Chambers(?) CB – Mert Kosc Gabr DM – Coq Arteta(?) Flamini(?) CM – Wilshere Ramsey AM – Cazorla (LRC) Ozil (LRC) Ox (RC) Rosicky (C) FW – Theo (RC) Alexis (LRC) Welbeck (LRC) ST… Read more »

who would you realistcally get to “upgrade OG”?

it doesn’t have to be flashy and expensive if it works. he has improved every season and is at the point of being that striker we wanted. why suddenly NOW get someone else? don’t eat the garbage the media is feeding you

Az Ahmed

To say or team a. Doesn’t need improvement and b. Is the best team in the league is ridiculous. The best teams are the best because they improve every year. If we seriously want to challenge for champions league and premier league, we need a marquee signing up front, which I think is something that Wenger will look at. In previous two seasons, the only reason Giroud has really improved is because Wenger has put pressure on him to improve by going out to sign a striker. What has changed since we attempted to sign Higuain and Suarez? Has Giroud… Read more »

Az Ahmed

Dybala is a sick player, his skill, strength, pace, vision and finishing are already brilliant and he has that swagger of a class striker and he’s very young. He would be a perfect Wenger signing.

GoonaChris

Ahmed are you in some kind of race to get the most down votes? If so, good job!

reality

I agree with your statement on the premise that those players are available for ALL of the games in a season.
Until we stop playing/practicing on fields that tear hamstrings I can’t see them consistently scoring that many goals. I have hope for Welback because he’s only slightly injury prone and can run like the wind. His ball movement around the opposition near the line is unique. I just feel he needs fight to get into a better position (angle) when trying to finish.

Utkarsh

If only OX was able to add more goals to his game he would be even more of a gem.

Clock End Mike

He will. I have no doubt of that.

Arsepedant

Let him play a full season without being injured for large chunks of it and he will score in double figures.

DFS

It’s exciting to hear Wenger in this mood as I believe the statement carries more import and depth than might appear. Wenger seems to have his ‘mojo’ back. It’s no stretch to imagine the present squad has the potential to become the ‘The Invincibles’ Version 2. It’s been a circuitous route to get here and there have been valid reasons at times to bemoan the direction taken by Wenger and the club. However, the transfer policy in recent years has been the best in the EPL. Luck in some sense as no one could have predicted Ozil would become available… Read more »

Andy Mack

Exactly, It’s a way of encouraging the existing players to up their game and take a few more shots when they get a chance. He won’t start genuinely talking about transfers ‘in’ until the end of the season.

GoonaChris

Well put. Besides all the great additions you mentioned, we are finally keeping our best players. For me this is the most important factor. We have a settled squad now and we don’t really need to panic every summer to bring in anyone. Every summer it is getting easier and AW’s persistence and hard work is starting to pay off. 1st, 2nd or 3rd… its been a really encouraging season, and a big step in the right direction. Arsenal are back! Our only regret is taking Monaco lightly in the 1st leg, cos imagine this Arsenal team on form going… Read more »

alex

Yeah the way I read that is another player from within the squad. Ramsey, Ox, Santi, Ozil, Walcott, Welbeck, whoever. Doesn’t mean we definitely won’t sign an attacking player, but it’s certainly not an admission that we definitely will.

Spooner

Bye-bye Theo

Wangge

My favourite player.. 🙁

Az Ahmed

I think Theo needs to knuckle down next season and get us 20-25 goals and earn himself a 125K contract. But, I don’t think he can stay away from the injury table long enough to get 15 goals next season

barry wickings

even welbecks short time at AFC you can see the improvement, next season he will get 15 goals im sure of it, goes to show wenger’s magic works on all players for improving them technically, how many have left arsenal and got better, petit was a nothing player when he left to name one

DFS

Trust me, one of the more pleasurable things this season is friends who support Man U openly admit (and affectionately begrudge) the fact that Welbeck looks a better player in less than a season than he ever did at Man U.

They sense he feels more valued and integral to Arsenal, even though he grew up Manchester United.

Clock End Mike

Welbz came straight into the side after the season had already kicked off, as the transfer window closed. We all know the value of a summer’s pre-season for welding the side together, honing skills, etc. We didn’t have that last summer, with most top players away at the World Cup. If Danny had any pre-season training, it was probably on how to keep the bench warm at Man U and come on as a sub winger. I look forward to seeing how he performs next season. That will tell us far more about his future than anything he’s done this… Read more »

GoonaChris

For me has all the attributes needed to succeed as a CF. That hat-trick in the Champions League was extraordinary and one of the best we have seen from an Arsenal player in a little while. When people say he is not clinical some assume he just can’t shoot. This is not the case, he just needs to find his composure in front of goal. You just need to look at how Theo improved.

DFS

Agreed.

The fact that he is held in high regard in the England camp and is particularly valued by Roy Hodgson is also propelling him to another level along with the move to Arsenal.

It’s easy to dismiss his 6 recent goals for England as against qualifiers and in friendlies. If it was that simple Rooney or a host of other players for their countries would have also produced the same return. They haven’t.

Bobz

Get rid of theomoneybags, bring in someone who’ll show a tad more loyalty with attacking nous and we’ll have that player. Bar sanchez(touch wood), none of our other attackers have stayed fit consistently enough to be able to contribute 15 goals and surely had giroud not suffered the injury that he did, he have at least 5-10 more goals, criminally underrated.

Andy Mack

“Get rid of theomoneybags” someone around here seems to believe the newspapers.

You saw the game on Saturday right? Very little end product and an awful lot of Eden Hazard style “falling over” Not a player I want at our club

CB

What, you don’t love Theo-type contract stand-offs??

Chair

Kinda unfair to judge a player on one game, won’t you agree? Like if you’d judge Giroud on that game against Monaco.
Sterling is good and still very young. But I don’t see him at our club anyway.

gooner bank

Oh come on … he’s still very young …

Steve Bould

Has he forgotten about Bellerin??

Arsepedant

Bellerin’s scored twice as many league goals this season as Balotelli. If Balotelli can be referred to as a 15 goal per year striker, then Bellerin should get 30 easy. Just sayin’.

Rich

Reus

pi

bit injury prone but I’d love Reus or Griezmann at our club. If we were to sell someone. If not then hopefully after a preseason we’ll have Welbeck/Ox stepping up a level. At this rate our cup teams going be to stronger than our 1st choice starting 11 from 2010-2012!!

Pursuant Bear

Word is we’re wooing him with plans for a new medical facility.

David

Alexis Ozil Reus

Francobaldini

That is the end of Theo Walcotts career at Arsenal IMHO!

Cliff Bastin

I reckon I could handle 15 goals a season how do I apply?

sg gooner

I think 15 goals during training sessions do not count.

gareth knight

I think this will be an internal solution, I hope so …. No need to dip in the transfer market and potentially block the paths of certain players we already have.
I’m thinking welbeck and the ox,
I think they are both on the verge of developing into players that will score the goals the Wenger mentions.
COYG

AnonymousGun

Also.. Gnabry.

But just prepare for 1 name.

Sanogoal.

diefenbaker

gnabry is a better player than the Ox from what I’ve seen so far.
The Ox really needs to step up next season.

Anonymous Physicist

I’m guessing it means internally, and hoping it means Welbeck. As great as Giroud is at the moment, we really need someone to provide proper cover and competition for him next season, to keep Giroud fresh and sharp and have a good option when he’s not available. So I’m really hoping Welbeck will take his chances at centre forward a bit better next year than he has this year to really become a proper alternative to Giroud. He wasn’t terrible at it in the first half of the season, but he didn’t score enough, and we’ve been a lot better… Read more »

Az Ahmed

Exactly… At the moment. Form is temporary. Class is permanent

Brendan

My opinion Santi has been very unlucky this season with his goals… As Wenger said about Ramsey, his an intelligent, hardworking player who finds himself in the right position in front of goal but just needs that little bit of focus and luck to be at his best!

gar14

True about Santi. He has been playing a bit deeper too to be fair. Ramsey is the player who needs a few more goals, like last season. he gets in great positions and is often the first one up to support the striker. If he can relax more and refind his confidence, he’ll be banging them in again soon

GunnerDareMACEDONIA

Regardless of santi position where he is playing this year, santi was unlucky because he hit the post 7-8 times this season he could easily scored 15+ if he wasn’t so unlucky with hitting the post so many times.

I AM ARSENAL

Damn right you can smell it.. 1 0r 2 players in the summer and full pre season we will win the league.. we don’t have the most ‘stars’ but we are building towards having the best team…If they stay together another 3 or 4 years sky’s the limit.

The Only Olivier is Giroud

The thought of Ramsey having a “13/14” season with the likes of Özil, Cazorla and Sanchez buzzing around Giroud really makes me have some feelings I can’t quite explain. Add to that the fact we’d have Ox, Dat Guy and Jack Wilshere (hell, even Gnabry) on the bench… that is some potency in attack!

Gooner Jakub

As if welbeck will be that player. If not his hattrick against galatsaray then his goal scoring record is atrocious. He should be a bench player at best and we should lure the likes of levezzi and reus

Stringer Bell

Are you Michael Owen in disguise

Fabulous

“If not for his hat trick against Galatasaray…” Yeah cause every body else scores hat tricks against Galatasaray on a regular basis no? I have high hopes for Welbeck, like Adebayor when he was with us, Welbeck gets into good positions and make the right runs. He’s at an age where he can still improve his finishing and composure in front of goal, there are plenty of former examples of this; the great Henry, Dutch Skunk, Fabregas, and even Giroud of late.

Andy Mack

Welbeck is already much more clinical than Adebarndoor (he was given enough easy chances to get into 3 figures in a season) and Danny adds so much more to the team. Plus Danny isn’t ‘changing room cancer’ like Ade was/is.

Living for Bellerin

Dybala?

GunnerDareMACEDONIA

not for 40 million euros, i would rather go for lacazzete much better player in my eyes.

Az Ahmed

Perfect. Skilfull, pacy, strong, composed, strong vision to pick out a pass, he reminds me of Gianfranco Zola mixed with Thierry Henry

Jimmy

Big Welly should do that next year. AOC stays fit and plays regularly he should be aiming for 15 goals I reckon. (Walcott stays fit and gets in the team he can do that, but he struggles to stay fit and will may be sold. If he leaves, do we replace him from outside or not?)

Gnarby coming back could be big as well. Might not get the games to reach 10 goals unless we go far in both domestic pots, but he could have a big impact again for us.

O death

I think we should be looking more for another defensive player to provide backup/competion for Le coq, I don’t think we could have had this run with Flame or Arteta in that position.

Serge Blanco

Spot on. Cover/comp for Coq (Schneiderlin?) is the only certain bit of business we will do in thesummer. If Walcott goes I think we will look to either Reus or Griezemann as a replacement. Wouldn’t be surprised of the decision to sell Walcott has already been taken.

Az Ahmed

Striker? What about if Giroud gets injured or off form or both? What then?

Johnson

Wele my friend, Wele

Hulk

Adobe, Gnarby, Ox, Özil stepping up…We should be OK. Maybe he is thinking it will be Diaby!

DialSquareGoon

Benik Afobe? He’s gone. I think you mean Akpom.

Arsepedant

Afobe apparently scored his 29th goal of the season today against Leeds. Only in the Championship, mind you, but that’s some season he’s having.

Hank Scorpio

Not sure how many Afobe has in total but it’s 9 in the last 15 for him. In the meantime Sanogoals has a no goals. On the main story it really sounds like the end for Theo. Reus would do nicely. Hopefully Akpom can step up next season too & Wellbeck score a few more to cap off all the other good work he does

Black Hei

Sanogo was the player Alan Pardew and Steve Bruce looked to for a January signing. I am sure both clubs could have afforded Afobe who was also available.

Andy Mack

Sanogo only has 1 goal and 1 Assist in 300 mins but he has been ‘subd’ in most games which is a part of the palace game and he’s also been injured. They’re happy with him.

Paul

I think we will replace Theo with said 15 goaler

Arsepedant

Perhaps … but I think Theo could very well be that 15 goaler.

beagleboy

You mean we transplant his with a new goal-scoring brain 😉

Red G

With Giroud and Sanchez with 20 plus goals for next season we do need another player to step up so we got a triple threat. Either Theo or Welbeck could be those 15 goal players. Then you got Ozil and Ramsey contributing from time to time. When the Ox returns, if he could add goals to his power and pace and directness then we’d have something special.

Ex-Priest Tobin

I don’t think Welbeck’s finishing ability is up to scratch, although he’s a useful player defensively. He shouldn’t be starting for us in most matches. I would sell the following players – Jenkinson, Flamini, Walcott. Use the funds to go for Draxler or Reus to replace the mercenary Walcott.

Trezy

In other words bye bye theo? Or is he trying to tell danny(and perhaps ozil) to step up?

Hedgehog

Lots of people have forgotten how good Theo can be! He only came back in the side against Brighton a few months ago after a whole year out. Give the guy a chance. We can’t go selling players every time they come back from injury and are finding their form. This is Arsenal, we would have no one left!! COYG

AnonymousGun

We not selling peoples everytime they came back from injuries.. (See Diaby 😉 )

We selling peoples who cant fit in the current team system (bet you it will be tweaked just a tiny bit for next season).. That means players need to contribute to defensive phase of the game.

Yankee Gooner

Never rated “player who can score 10 or 15 goals.” Doesn’t deserve to wear the Arsenal shirt. We’d be much better off with “in-form player of the moment.”

ArseMansBackInTown

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect 15 goals from Welbeck unless we play Galatasaray 5 times next season. He’s the new Ray Parlour, not the new Thierry Henry.

Goonerrob86

Just keep everyone together and we can take the title in future. I think we are beginning to become that kind of side again where there is an exclusivity to our ranks, you have to be pretty special to get in and when u do you will become better. I mean look at that goal from Bellerin, that’s what you have coming from our right back FFs! That is the best thing about our club right now and also the reason most of us who love theo are not having it again with his contract bs, you love the club… Read more »

Bellerin is a true find. I wonder if we will see him tried as a winger at some point with Debuchy getting his spot back. He seems to be very interested in getting into the box, and is unbelievably quick. I have been a fan of his since the minute I saw him debut against the NYRB.

Don't eat that yellow snow

We need another DM in addition to Coq. He has done great, but we can not expect him to stay injury free, and voice suspensions for a whole season.

beagleboy

Oh Captain, oh Captain?

NYGooner

We have too many players who don’t capitalize on their chances. For example, compare Carzola to Hazard. Both fantastic players, both with amazing movement and control. But Hazard scores way more often from open play. If you have too many players that can’t score frequently from open play, it’s a problem. Rosicky is another example of a player that makes a fantastic addition to any game, but rarely ever finds the net. A team that has fantastic goal scorers up front can more afford midfielders who don’t score. We’ve got only two forwards who’ve proved they can score day-in, day… Read more »

I’ve been saying this for a while now- we lack the ruthlessness the top teams like chelshit and shitty has.
This makes our defensive woes even more glaring…like last season, liverpool had a shit defence but because they had suarez and sturridge to bang in the goals, that was easily overlooked.
For all the chances we create, we need to be FAR more clinical than we are at present.
Its either Welbeck steps up or we sign someone like reus, pedro, fekir or dybala.

goonero

Ruthless shitty now sit 4th after losing to crystal palace. We are 2nd having spanked liverpool 4-1. Don’t treat media narrative as reality. As things stand Arsenal are the most ruthless side in the country.

DFS

Yup, this might all make some sense if not for the fact that Arsenal boast the most individual players scoring goals in the EPL.

Trez

Well seeing that they have outscored us for the last 3 seasons, yes they are more ruthless than us. Even in 4th place they have scored more goals than us.
We aren’t a clinical side…sad but true. We should be scoring far more than we do with the chances we create.

DuckandChips

We can only judge it on the evidence before us. It looks like Theo’s going- he’s not getting any minutes and even Eden we were 3 up against Liverpool, Wenger put on Welbeck instead of Walcott. Podolski is going to go too. So, that’ll leave us with Welbeck, Sanchez and Giroud. Wenger could have cashed in on Campbell in August or January but gave him a 5 year contract instead. Wenger also made sure Sanogo went to a Premier League club (on loan) as opposed to another club in Europe (or a team in the championship). And of course, there’s… Read more »

We certainly have players in the squad that can score 15 if they really focused on that alone and most importantly given a consistent run of games. Anyone of Walcott, Welbeck, Ozil (if he shoots more), Carzola (esp if he takes all the PKs), Ramsey and even Chamberlin could do it. The problem there is so much attacking talent in the squad now that even getting enough games to do it for some will be tough and for others that play all the time like Ozil and Carzola they don’t need to score when you have Giroud banging them in.… Read more »

Iagree for Cech it will be a huge coup! He will leave Chelski for sure this summer. Cech and Ospina and we are good for the GK position. Sell the Pole , he can be very good for a midtable team. but his concentration lapses are too dangerous for an ambitious team. Pedro is bit known to be a goal scorer. Reus is a class above. Good goal scorer but most importantly he scores in big games.
I reckon Arsene should go for a DM with experience to help the Coq in his progression. And a a goalkeeper.

Ordinarily that would be Walcott. Writing on the wall? We could do with someone who has a bit of technical skills to keep the ball and score. If Walcott goes, we have Gnabry, Campbell and Akpom more than willing to fill the breach so we may need a slightly different type of player to come in from market. It’s not going to happen with Sanogo or Campbell – Gnabry and Akpom may well be a different matter, but I’m not holding my breath. The thing is we’re no longer hamstrung financially. We not only have money to spend, but we can spend it on the kind of players normally associated with the seven ‘moneybags’ clubs above us in the ‘rich list’. That’s what’s changed for us. And I’ve seen Sanogo and Campbell play nowhere near as much and they do not. I can only go on evidence. If Sanogo and/or Campbell have previously-unseen qualities then they really shouldn’t be so shy in showing us. Even if it’s for a different club. We have such a strong squad at the moment any external improvement would probably have to be a significant signing along the lines Ozil or Alexis. That said, there are plenty of technically good players out there like Alexandre Lacazette or Heung-Min Son who could be brought in at someone’s expense – versatile players who wouldn’t cost the earth. Remember we already have Gnabry, Akpom, Podolski, Campbell, and Sanogo on our books – not to mention Walcott – so room can be found without any effective weakening. And that’s the point. In many recent seasons we’ve had to replace players.… Read more »

‘Imagine what we could do with one that’s been strengthened by another 15 goals a season?’

Easy: it’s ‘au revoir PL title’ for the Moaning Mou Mob.

Springbank 1962, thank you for mentioning Heung-Min Son – technically one of the best finishers in Europe. I defy anyone to look at his goals this season and how he scores them and not be reminded of Freddie Ljungberg. Questions marks about him defensively, but he’s a razor-sharp knife in attack.

All said and done why some here show so much hate for Theo. As a player he signed the ting when we needed him.

Did anyone else read this headline as “Wenger wants another 15 good players”…

Paul S

I thought he said “I’m a 15-carat gold player” and “99 problems but a pitch ain’t one.”

Zip Watcher

I can offer 15 seasons to one goal. Maybe.
