Think at times Saka was a bit shellfish.
Willock had ideas above his crustacean.
We really felt the pinch of bringing off Ozil.

That Ozil assist for the 4th goal was as good as winning the cup. Very few players in the world can come up With that pass in that amount of time….amazing….I will go watch our 4th goal again.
That goal was down to the pressing of AMN something that is unfortunately not in Ozils locker. Yes a deft touch but wouldn’t have happened otherwise and if I get asked should your no 10 tackle or press I never saw DB10 shirk his responsibility. The team needs his creativity and a fully focused Ozil not the arm waving spoilt child that appears more often than not.
Agree with all of that, but tbf to Ozil he pressed well last night. Klopp will have second thoughts next time he considers playing Lallana as a DM again, Ozil gave him an especially hard time. If Ozil can play with that intensity consistently he’ll be a lock for the starting 11.
Oh boy! It seems nothing Özil does can ever please his haters who come with preconceived theories on “what he didn’t do that he should have done” – even though 3 of the 5 goals came literally as a result of his genius moves, one of them being tracking back, winning the ball deep in our half, carrying it forward and finding Saka, worked his ass off carrying the team forward and dictating the tempo, on top of a world class assist for the 4th goal.
Which match were you watching?
Yes he had a good match but up against kids and bench warmers. He needs to do it week in and not when he feels like it.
Martinelli reminds me of the Brazilian Ronaldo. He smells goals, is quick, can dribble, head the ball, press, intercept, tackle, intelligent, composed, just relentless overall. He’s going to become world class. Weird saying this but I already think he’s ready to replace Laca if needed. Absolute beast and amazing from Edu to snip him from the lower leagues.
Still very much helter skelter. Understandably it was a mixed team we put out but considering Liverpool were carrying a very youthful (apart from Milner) defense, we should have done somewhat better. Positives but also negatives – 1) Leno – I thought he has been in general good with decision making on distribution. Where I feel he isn’t as strong in in penalties. Only went the right way once.
