Confirmed: Osei-Tutu joins Nottingham Forest on loan

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Jordi Osei-Tutu on loan for the 2021/22 campaign.

The 22-year-old right-back moves to the City Ground having spent the last two seasons with German side VfL Bochum and Cardiff City respectively.

On the books at the Emirates since 2015, the right-back hasn’t had a look in at first team level and currently sits behind Cedric, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin in the pecking order.

In an interview with the Forest website, Osei-Tutu said: “I’m delighted to sign for such a historic club and I can’t wait to see the fans for the first time.

“Everything about the club attracted me and the manager, Chris Hughton, is great and I’m excited to get started.

“It’s really important for me to get my head down now and it’s good to know that I’m here for a full season and I want to show everyone what I can do.

“I know what to expect in the division, it’s a very tough and physical league but I’m ready for the challenge ahead.”

Best of luck to Jordi for the season ahead.

Guns Up

Clearly what’s been holding up the show. This should open up the floodgates and we’ll be overwhelmed with news of deals getting done in the next few days.

Man Manny

Good luck, son.
Come back stronger and better. We can do with a homegrown right full back.

Tankard Gooner

Man I forgot he was still at the club.
Good luck at Forest Tutu!

As did I. Maybe it’s a question of ability because I certainly don’t think it’s a mentality thing. Jordi is probably one of the most resilient and determined guys at Arsenal. He wouldn’t have chosen a loan at Bochum if that weren’t the case.

Hopefully Chris Hughton can help Jordi reach that final hurdle. Improving defensive performance is Chris’ strong point. He’s arguably more responsible for improving Lewis Dunk and Yves Bissouma than Potter is.

Lord Bendnter

This is a bad move, the first team is very short on rightbacks

Haha. You say that but if I recall we had Centre-Backs up the wazoo last season and still ended up playing Elneny, Xhaka and Kolasinac at CB🤣🤣🤣

Merlin’s Panini

If he’s 22 and still hasn’t featured I think his time with us is pretty much up. I’m surprised it’s just a loan and not a permanent deal.
Best of luck to him though. I hope he has a stellar season and proves me wrong.

Merlin's Panini

As I said, I hope he has a stellar season and proves me wrong. Some players are late bloomers, but not many.

Well, he looks thrilled!

Under contract until 2023 so a good season at the City Ground and hopefully Jordi can earn himself a permanent move next summer and earn us a few bob. Good luck to the lad.

Another Edu master stroke!

Good luck Desmond.
