Video: Jonas stays, but who’s going?

Ahead of Arsenal’s final game of the WSL season against West Ham, Tim Stillman attended the pre-match press conference with head coach Jonas Eidevall.

Tim talks about his takeaways from the presser, including Eidevall’s contract extension, who the club want to retain, what’s going on behind the scenes with regards to backroom staff and facilities, and that tackle on Lia Wälti in the North London Derby.

This is very good news indeed. With their contracts sorted out, hope they can build on the good things they have shown us this season.

Yes, they. Eidevall has been amazing. His work might not have been covered by the media as much as Mikel’s but I see the ladies winning the league…

Always appreciate the depth & accuracy of your reporting, especially when it’s on great news such as this. The job Jonas did keeping Arsenal competitive with all the changes and lack of preseason shows that the players are all in and the manager’s message resonates – I don’t think we’ll have any trouble finding those diamonds – Arsenal are a very good destination these days.

Fun Gunner

Interesting, thanks.

Just saw a post on another board saying “Rumor is that Miedema will be signing with Barcelona within 2 weeks.” That’s all it says. Wouldn’t surprise me. I agree that if Miedema were keen to stay at Arsenal, she would have signed a new contract by now. Adding Miedema to Barca, I must say, seems like boring overkill. That club routs everybody now–including the other top clubs in the world–maybe Lyon will challenge it in the CL final, we’ll see–so I’m not sure Viv can make it any better.
