Welcome to a brand new episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, the number one podcast about Arsenal Women.
In this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, Tim, Pippa and Alex are joined by Ian Wright to discuss the WSL season ahead, Arsenal’s quiet summer in the transfer market, Ian’s thoughts on Stina Blackstenius with Vivianne Miedema moving into the 10 role, what the season might hold for Mana Iwabuchi and Jordan Nobbs, selling 35,000 tickets for the North London derby (so far) as well as what the panel are most excited about and most anxious about ahead of the new season.
Ian also shares his thoughts on working with Gunners boss Jonas Eidevall for BBC’s coverage of the Euros this summer. All that and much more on this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast.

What made me stop and replay was the mention that Jonas’ Dream CDM is Lena Oberdorf
I feel Walti is better at moving the ball forward (being superbly two footed), but would love to see a few Chelsea players (and Emma Hayes) whine after getting crunched by Oberdorf.
Agree on passing – Oberdorf’s passing at the Euros was pretty poor (only a 62% completion rate).
