Also in attendance at the unveiling of Emirates Stadium’s new artwork were members of the victorious 2006/07 women’s Champions League side, with the squad represented in one of the murals alongside the men’s invincible Premier League season of 2003/04.
Tim Stillman caught up with Lianne Sanderson and Anita Asante to get their thoughts on being featured so prominently on the stadium wrap, their place in Arsenal history, 2006/07’s quadruple winning season, how they felt about being appreciated retrospectively, life after football and the massive interest in the women’s game.

Very much enjoyed that. Such different personalities – Lianne S is a straight talker and very honest. I loved to hear about the togetherness in the side while she was there and that the club have behaved so well to her.
