Ramsey returns to Welsh squad as Interlull looms

Having made his comeback at club level against Sunderland last week, and played 75 minutes of the 3-2 win over Ludogorets last night, Aaron Ramsey has been recalled the Wales squad for their upcoming international.

Chris Coleman’s side face Serbia in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday November 12th, and the Welsh manager will no doubt be delighted to have his star midfielder available again.

He made his displeasure at Ramsey’s absence – due to a hamstring strain picked up on the opening day of the season – and seemed to point the finger at Arsenal’s treatment of the player.

It will give Ramsey some much needed playing time during the Interlull as he looks to regain full match fitness.

He provided an assist for Olivier Giroud’s equaliser in Bulgaria (video in report here), but at times looked like a man who – understandably – has to get up to the pace of the game.

A good 90 minutes under his belt will certainly help in that regard.

Xhaka Demus, no Pliers

Ramsey is a great player but I can’t help but fee he’ll have to change the way he wants to play to suit the way the team has evolved. The incisive speed and fluidity we have had recently is so much more effective than the ponderous play of the last couple of seasons.

Little Mozart

I think Ramsey will be fine after he gets back up to speed. He now has more options to pass to thanks to our current formation and playing style, so he doesn’t have to keep the ball for long periods anymore.

Newxieland

Please do not play him on the right ever again… especially without the width that Belleri provides.

Either he plays center or he doesn’t play at all.

Surely out of Coq, Xhaka, Carzorla and Elneny we’ll find someone that works with him in the center.

Aliu Osiaga

He is goignto be amazing with Xhaka in the middle

Vonnie

What about him learning to work with somebody, instead of another player having to cover for his lack of discipline and selfish play? Ramsey isn’t a team player and until he learns to be one he shouldn’t start. We can’t afford passengers this season, a lesson Theo, Ox and Gibbs have taken on board. Ramsey has the same sense of entitlement that Wilshere has, thinks he can just step back into the first team ahead of better players. Those days seem to be over, thank goodness.

Read te headline and just thought, “What, another fucking international break!” Fml

Xhaka Kan

Another lull to bollix our players!!
When does it end???

Gunman

Great assist from Ramsey last night but at times he does over complicate his play. When he just sticks to the bread and butter stuff he’s mustard ?

I think Ramsey and Xhaka partnership in the centre will be great. What a depth we have in our squad now. Last season we lost Coqzorla in Nov for few months and our midfield was never the same. This season we have great options like Elneny as well! We can rotate depending on the opposition and Cazorla will not be able to play all games as he is getting older.

Hopefully we can bit scums this weekend and have a great Nov!k

I had $10 on Wales winning the Euros but Chris Coleman is starting to annoy the hell out of me.

Mayor of the Woolwich

Come back in one piece Ramsey. Best wishes to you and your country.

There you go, Coleman.
