Wow, great podcast. Thanks, Tim and Art. Assuming Jodie Taylor, Gio and one other who shall remain nameless move on/go on loan…then as well as a specialist CB, I think we need a DM/CB, CB/RB, a lethal CF and a lethal goal-scoring striker/10. Then there would be an immediate rotational use for all the new players in the short and medium term and in the longer term, good competition for places and tactical options for JE. The squad is clearly malleable which has been useful in filling gaps when people are injured but when everyone is fit and ready I think it gives us a lot of options tactically. A big positive of Jonas’s additions to the squad is the balance between physicality and technicality as well as being hard workers. I think those combinations of qualities will allow players to adapt to any change of system.
