Dates confirmed for Porto showdown

The dates have been confirmed for Arsenal’s Champions League double-header with Porto.

Arsenal will travel to the Estadio do Dragao on Wednesday 21 February with the return leg at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday 12 March.

Both matches will kick off at 8pm local time and will be broadcast in the UK on TNT Sports.

The first leg comes between an away trip to Burnley and the visit of Newcastle to the Emirates. The Gunners will face Brentford at home before Porto come to London. That will be followed by either an FA Cup quarter-final or a home league clash with Chelsea.

As expected, flight prices to and from London have already rocketed.

By the way, the Newcastle game could be postponed if Newcastle make it to the EFL cup final.

Looks like a great stadium for an away trip.

Just got back from Porto for a work trip. Lovely city, amazing food and wine, friendly people whose English is generally far better than my Portuguese. One recommendation: if you’re flying there, avoid TAP (the Portuguese national airline). Price of BA/United, service of RyanAir/Southwest.

Poor old klopp whinging he has a midweek game while we have a week off . To be fair I’d hate to be facing westham and he knows he hasn’t that great of squad depth. Wouldn’t wish an injury on anyone but a heavy knocks and heavy legs after a battle against the Ammers. I looked at the bench and thought poor enough but when szoblai was poor and came off by putting trent to midfield then Harvey elliot and Jones aren’t any better than we got . It may well be subs that decide the game this weekend .… Read more »

The hammers are going to run his depleted midfield ragged. If endo picks up an injury they have virtually no holding player fit
