Biereth provides a reminder of his ability on loan at Motherwell

Mika Biereth’s loan spell at RKC Waalwijk last season certainly didn’t go to plan, with injuries not helping his cause, but the early signs suggest that matters could be far more positive for the striker this campaign.

Biereth has linked up with Motherwell on a season-long loan and he enjoyed a fantastic  debut for the Scottish side as he came off the bench against Hibernian and proceeded to set up a goal prior to finding the net himself as his temporary team won 2-1.

The 20-year-old’s ability has never been in question, but there were a lot of frustrating moments for him last season as he was unable to fully impose himself in Holland.

Now, though, it seems that Biereth has regained his confidence and he will be determined to enjoy a hugely productive campaign with Motherwell.

It remains to be seen what lies in store for Biereth beyond that as despite his ability there may not be an opening for him in the first-team squad.

However, this season the Denmark youth international has an opportunity to provide everybody with a reminder of his ability and if he is successful at Motherwell then he may be able to earn a permanent move elsewhere.

In addition to his finishing ability, Biereth possesses impressive link-up play and makes clever runs off the ball. He will hope that the first game of the season is a precursor for what is to come this campaign.

He’s different to other strikers we have. Strong, skilful, and a real team player, after a disappointing loan last season he’s one to watch. Could be one with an Arsenal future if things go to plan?

Mate, they might as well already make the doll that goes “Mika” in his honour.

He looks very good. Man U have just shelled out a small fortune for another Dane in his age bracket.

If he has a productive season at Motherwell we should give him a chance to show his quality with us.

I am all for cashing in with a good sale. But it is even better, if we can develop him for our own team.

Saudi Arabia look like they are going to shell out a small fortune for an Egyptian in Elneny’s age bracket.

Do you think we could get £60m for Mo?

Vonnie

I wouldn’t want to send him there. He’ll see out his contract and then become a coach at Hale End or something, he doesn’t want to leave ever.

Odinelli

We are doing well so he should be one of our next young signings sold for their potential. Goals are always valuable.

Wengerball

He looks very sharp. Can see him fighting Nketiah for that secondary striker spot next season,. provided he stays healthy.

Mark

I’ll be Bierethft if he leaves.
